The best Box league is the Goals Baltimore League in Catonsville.

Next Level runs a pretty good one in Rockville also. It is more like a bunch of pickup games than a real league.

Madlax runs one out of Dulles but it is mostly B teams.

It would be awesome if Nercc in Parkville could get something going on their multiple regulation indoor box fields.

DuBurns and Resisterstown Sportsplex have great single fields but have don't have strong leagues.

Myers pavilion has a really good box league for high school kids that Crabs and Rock were in last year.

There are a couple outdoor/indoor leagues with nets instead of boards at with MMILL at SoccerStop in Columbia and API may have a league.

Fisc in Frederick also has incredible multiple regulation box fields and has a league. Check the LaxFaxtory site.

3D runs a pretty good indoor league for high schoolers in Annapolis . It is not real Box and has nets instead of boards.

There is no real Box anywhere in Maryland ... its all indoor field lacrosse. Its time to start real box in Baltimore!!

As usual, most of the people who speak on here know absolutely nothing...

The GOALS league is real box lacrosse.

And Lax Factory runs a USBOXLA program during the winter. League and travel teams. Certified box officials and everything.

MADLAX "kind of" runs a box league and tournament. They do use small goals and padded goalies, it is 5-on-5, and their rules resemble box lacrosse. But their officials have no idea how to actually run a box game. Same with Next Level.

Have you watched.. the kids in that league do NOT play box. they play field inside... No-one down here knows how to play box...

Actually, I have watched games in all of these leagues. The question is what do you think "real box" is?

Because I see moving screens, lots of off-ball movement, lots of picks, legal (in box) cross-checking, playing balls off the boards, etc. It's not fighting or big take-out checks and all that, because all of that is against the rules.

Around here, box is a means to an end. And that end is better field players. So they'll never be great at it around here like Canada.
