Do what's best for you and your son. Find a team that practices within a reasonable proximity to your home, possibly with someone he knows (carpooling in a pinch). Look for stability. Is there a lot of turnover in players and coaches? If so, it's not a good sign. See what tournaments the teams generally play in. You may or may not want to travel as much or as little as some do. Also, be realistic about your sons abilties. Will he make a top team? Is he more of a middle of the road player (like most are)? You want to see him play, right? So find a team that will keep him on the field, not the bench.

There are a ton of teams out there. The ones you read about on here are just a fraction of them. As far as which teams are best, this is my opinion: Golden Geese and Express are the top teams. Igloo, Blast and Ducks are right below them. Then there are Empire, True Blue, 24, Recon, E3, Hitmen, etc... that are all good options, depending on where you live.
