I know this site often lacks facts so let's get the facts straight to document the travesty that happened yesterday with the Hawks 2022 FOGO kid before other pile-on without understanding what transpired in the semi-finals on Sunday.

Facts: A stick check was called 1-minute prior to the end of the game on the Hawks FOGO directly after taking a fast break and the Hawks scoring to bring the score to a one point game. In turn, Mark Millon called for a stick check and penalty was incorrectly issued after a 5-minute delay claiming that the throat was slightly less than 3” (which is the NCAA rule). However, under Federation rules, there is no mention of an exact width of the throat, only that the ball must pass the rollout test, which it passed! Spectators could clearly see this from the stands because the "MM hired-officials" popped the ball up in the air several times trying to find a violation then tried another tactic and went to the tape measure for some reason not understood. MM cheated by not accurately applying the rules that he distributed for the tournament. The fact that this young boy has dealt with the shame of this costly penalty to turn the possession over to Team 91 with just 1 minute left in the game, yet the stick was legal based on 2017 NFHS criteria. So sad, but we all expect nothing less from a MM run tournament and the trolls that want to bash a kid’s integrity without merit!

Lacrosse National Championship Class of 2022 rule extract for Sticks:
"Sticks - BOTH NCAA & Federation sticks are legal
Stick Length, pocket depth, and head top width will be in effect
40'" - 42" or 52" - 72" (NCAA regulation)"

The Hawk’s FOGO deserves an apology from MM due to the unmerited penalty for an illegal stick but...as we all have witnessed on several occasions, it is win at all costs for Mark; even if it means cheating and making it look like as if the 13-year boy and his stick were at fault! Thanks MM, keep it classy, some day your actions will catch up to you!!!

Thanks Dad!!! We believe you.
