Going to a different team isn't giving up - you are just putting yourself in a better situation. I'm not saying quit in the middle of the season, but just like pro athletes, move on after the contract is up or ask for a trade.[/quote]

Do you honestly think the same issues don't exist on every club? If your son is good enough he will play. It's 7th grade. Kids are growing at different rates and skill levels change quickly. If your son isn't playing it may make sense to move to a lower level club for now to play, but it depends on what your end goal is. If you just want your son to have fun, they playing time should be a high priority. If you think your son can play at a higher level, try to play for the best club he can make. Get private lessons, get a trainer, hit the wall, etc...Sure there are politics, but at the end of the day the clubs want to win. If your kid is one of the better players on the team he will play.[/quote]
