The purpose is to have fun not save your parents $ on college tuition.
Playing time is more fun.
Not a money issue. There's little money to spread around, most just want to make it. Fun is making it to the highest level if you love the sport. Fun is not saying you were the best 7th grade player ever in the B bracket, but never made it past JV.
