The Manhattan women's lacrosse team has selected its 2017 captains. Senior Darby Nolan (Oak Ridge, NJ) was chosen along with juniors Kara Hodapp (Oak Ridge, NJ) and Sarah Lang (Golden's Bridge, NY).

"We are extremely excited to announce Darby, Kara and Sarah as our 2017 captains," head coach Katie McConnell said. "Their leadership, hard work, dedication and enthusiasm are exactly what this team needs to take us to the next level. The pride they have in being a Jasper is contagious, and we look forward to this team going forward with them as leaders."

Nolan appeared in all 17 games last season, scoring 11 goals and picking up 15 ground balls. She has 25 goals and 23 ground balls in 42 career contests. Hodapp also played in all 17 games last season, notching eight goals, four assists and 13 ground balls. Lang, meanwhile, tied for fifth on the squad with 13 goals in 2016, her first at Manhattan after transferring from the University of Vermont. She also recorded five assists and five ground balls last year.

Manhattan begins the 2017 campaign with a home game against Army West Point on Saturday, Feb. 18.
