We all know why kids do prefirst?? Not mature enough for 1st grade, Behind rest of kindergarten students in skills, parent thinks they need more time in Kindergarten, and Yes sometimes to give their child an advantage in education and sports.MIAA is very competitive and parents know that the dont want their child constantly competing against older kids academically and physically. Some MIAA schools encourage (very strongly) that summer kids stay back.

But what has that got to do with YOUTH sports?? Does the MIAA now set policy for lacrosse youth sports??

The ignorant one is you who cant figure out this is Two different issues that you holdback cry baby parents make as One! Just because you hold your child back a grade or two, that doesn't give your child some special rights over other children born on exact same date and year as them, as it pertains to youth sports.

What special rights are you talking about? The right the kid has to play with his friends that are in is class that happen to not be born in August or Sept 2003 like him, Or the right to the classmate . friend ,teammate that was born in Octob03 three through december 2004.
Following every rule and guideline for School and Club or Rec along the way. Special rights and statements about kids somehow cheating or not earning their spots is a bit harsh andflt out not true.
However , in the world that only a small part of the overall Hold Back community (that only lacrosse parents cry about) the Parents in the Private School World that are holding kids back now for the SOLE PURPOSE of an advantage on the field . That is completely different than what 90% of good , honest parents did for their child in the holdback community .. Special rights is a joke .

No you do want " special rights" for your holdback child that other children the same exact birthday your son has DO NOT GET at YOUTH SPORTS. You still cant comprehend that the YOUTH SPORTS world doesn't revolve around holdbacks and the MIAA schools.

Your child gets to play with his friends all he wants at school and on EVERY school team plus all HS club teams. But Youth sports is about age. It isnt about Holdbacks and letting your son along with other holdbacks get an advantage over others exact same age..or get "special rights" .

So no special rights isnt a joke, it is a joke that you think it is ok to give your son an advantage others dont get, just because you and your MIAA school decided to hold him back in kindergarten.
