The 9/1 cutoff is great, but they just screwed a bunch of kids that could have played last year but didn't thinking they could play this year - only to have wsyl change the dates on them with no notice. Not cool. Wsyl should have a year's notice to transition so they don't leave anyone out.
It changed a few times last year. Give it time. Set your rosters to 9/1. Then watch the change it and some teams create a different team. Make sure the team you tryout for will take your kid to WSYL even if dates change.
