Just like the Md colleges going to see your girls play in spring season, the norther schools will go to events closer to home, not everyone wants to play at Maryland, and not every coach needs to go to Maryland to find good players

So while the YJ parents are stupid enough to travel to Md. every weekend to play in front of the same coaches some clubs have figured out that they can get exposure to schools like B.U. B.C. Tuffs Lehigh, 'cuse all the ivies and UConn in a smaller tourney, and all those coaches have figured out that they don't have to travel to Maryland every time and stay close to home and still find good players. So you and the Yellow Jackets have your fun trying to make everyone els believe that you're the best, because the only people that care are you and the Yellow Jackets.......Birds of a feather

No Long Island team has beaten YJA yet so for now they are the best here. Some LI teams have beaten YJB (barely) so maybe these teams are up and coming. Time will tell. For now however yjA is the best LI team at this age. Ian sure there will be moment this year so next summer will begin a new.
congratulations, that fact and $2.50 gets you on a subway but has nothing to do with the above post, so go pound your chest about how good the YJ a team is to someone who cares about something that stupid, like with Maryland parents who's kids will either play for Maryland, or some school within Maryland, who also think there better than everyone els

You're pretty obtuse if you think the majority of MD girls play for MD or other schools in MD. You're also completely out of touch if you think that college coaches are lining the fields at the LI tournaments you play in.

Are college rosters full of girls from Liberty, Elevate, Igloo? I don't think so. What's apparent is that you buy what your directors are selling. You are paying $3000 a year to play glorified PAL lacrosse there on the island against weak competition. Kids get better playing with and against the best talent. If you don't think that YJ is benefiting their girls by playing MD teams then I don't know what to tell you.
You are also delusional to think that that college rosters do not have players from liberty, Elevate or top guns on them. You need to know there is a bigger world, even in lacrosse , than just Maryland. and yes most Maryland girls tend to stay in the Maryland Northern Virginia area, but some do venture out further. Don't believe that these clubs play only on long Island because that is what your brethren yellow jackets say, they play in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, upstate and upstate N.Y.. You have heard of these places right, The whole world isn't in Maryland. Coaches are starting to realize that they can sleep in there own beds while recruiting good players, just like Kathy Reese can. Just because clubs don't want to shlep down the Jersey Tpk. and to play your girls while you sleep in your bed doesn't mean they aren't attending tournaments to get there players in front of coaches, stop being so self important, the trend here on L.I. is away from the southern circuit and more towards the north where the better colleges are. Except for the Yellow Jackets, sh'e more concerned with winning tournaments than exposure for her girls to keep the money flowing. Just so you know, every girl on my daughters team was recruited except for 2 (both going to become Doctors), only 2 or 3 are in schools south of the Mason Dixon line so if you take your head out of you self important arse you can see that the director is bringing the girls to the tournaments that get the best results for her clientele, and it's not in Md.
