I don't believe in quitting, and always say that to my kids. I have a problem with the sense of entitlement today, but with that being said this is a completely different story. If you want to bring someone into the tryouts every year to compete with my son, I have no problem with that and agree they have to learn to compete. In this case my son made the team, and we paid the fee to be part of a team of 23 players. Now each week a different kid comes in and takes playing time from the rest of the kids. I don't think that is doing the right thing by your players and in the long run is bad business.
it remains to be seen. so far Express is very successful. there are many teams to choose from. that's the beauty of sports these days. what's not cool is coming on here and bashing people anonymously.
