U15 is a waste of time. Could have a local tournament w top md teams for national championship recognition if that's what parents cared about here.
That's basically what happens during the un sanctioned summer tournaments, and the Maryland teams represent very well. But these tournaments use the US lacrosse rules very loosely ( including the age restrictions) because USLax has no teeth. The new age cutoff dates by US Lax are supposed to be adopted by all the summer tournaments running under the USL banner which includes the insurance for these tournaments. But they likely never will. I do notice over the many years how most tournaments rise and fall in and out of favor, but the U 13, U14, and U15's is the National governing body's Championship, and will remain. You can shy away from it all you want, but the club dominating it, likely would either way.
