If you lose 3 competitive games in a showcase event and all your players are able to be seen by coaches who cares about the score. In a real game environment the outcome would have been different. Everybody played equal time. there were a lot of coaches watching the games and they were able to get a good sense as to how these boys played against top level talent. Much better then going 3-0 against weak teams.
I am sure 91 and Express North would rather have played in a bracket like that - win, lose or draw - good games + good teams = coaches there to watch
That's why the coaches go from field to field and see players from all different teams
