If you lose 3 competitive games in a showcase event and all your players are able to be seen by coaches who cares about the score. In a real game environment the outcome would have been different. Everybody played equal time. there were a lot of coaches watching the games and they were able to get a good sense as to how these boys played against top level talent. Much better then going 3-0 against weak teams.
I watched LI Express yesterday. I think they lost the game I was watching by one goal to a very good HHH team. I have never seen so many kids with bandages and limps in one place. They are all transitioning from fall to winter sports at school and all just played a solid month of showcase lacrosse. I would not use anything that happened yesterday as a proxy for how good or bad a team is.
