And this is why we are all nuts, someone says someone got a full ride without playing travel lacrosse year round starting in Kindergarten and the fact checking starts trying to throw cold water on the statement because our entire lives revolve around year round lacrosse.

Could it have happened sure, probability very slim however it does illustrate that if you were born with great athleticism you will be able to play something somewhere without year round highly expensive training. On the other hand, kids with cement hands or kids that don't have the hustle gene will have a very tough time regardless of how much money they spend.


I'm not a big travel proponent either, but funny how the "coach" got quiet after people called BS on his niece story. He was making some valid points until he went too far.

Too funny - almost sounds like the story about that girl who played at Northwestern from a non-hotbed area and did not really play lacrosse but was a three sport letter athlete. She also did not commit until her senior year and was only noticed by Amonti-Hiller because her parents sent her up to a Northwestern camp. Pretty far fetched huh? That girl from Texas never got a full-ride though....
