Thanks, CageSage. So should we take this info to mean that the Schoolgirls tournament is not a stepping stone to the Stars and Stripes U19 tournament? Or should we assume that if one does not play in the Schoolgirls event then one shouldn't bother with the Stars and Stripes?
Officially, the two do not look correlated at any level.
That said, perhaps there is a sense from the families of committed juniors and seniors that remaining in the tournament will help keep their daughters visible at U/16, U/17, and U/18 as they consider a run for the U/19 team? Again, that requires a carry over from year-to-year of some type of statistical data which just does not seem to be the case.
