Ward Melville does not allow 8th graders to try out. Coach hasn't brought up 9th graders in years.
Yes, it is funny that I have heard that same exact quote from many of the current WM parents over and over. I'm sure to let everyone know why that group of girls are not playing varsity like most of their travel teammates. Also someone had to throw WM varsity under the bus saying JV beat them. Glad I'm not involved in that mess over there.
Not throwing them under the bus . That JV team was unbeatable last year and was loaded. If those kids all move up to Varsity I would say they are the team to beat.
