Shanahan has beat both this year Yawn... Shanahan shouldn't be in the Chesmont. They should be with the rest of the recruiting schools in the Inter-AC where they would be the whipping boys You are confusing Shanahan with the private Catholic schools (Malvern, LaSalle, Salesianum). Shanahan does not give scholarships and are about half the size of the chesmont schools.. They are like Pope John Paul or Cardinal O'Hara. They would still not finish in the top half of the central as one poster noted.[/quote] Shanahan - Just because they don't give scholarships doesn't mean that don't recruit people to come to their school - something public schools can't do.

So Money is the new Red Hots? Money lost to Predators just last summer....come on! The Talk of Baltimore!!! What did happen to Preds? It seemed like they were making some progress at the end of last summer but now they're struggling in AA - did players switch teams? Lost 18 of 29 players. Only a few of last year's players even showed up for tryouts. The rest were given their roster spots back. 2027 and 2029 Preds teams have a better culture and more invested coaches. That's the cleanest explanation. One of the loudest Preds families went to 91 last summer but recently went back to Preds. I'm sure Dad will be here soon to tell us all about it.

McD loses the best FOGO in the MIAA last year and simply can’t recover. Issues at the dot will be their undoing for a 3rd title run. Kind of harsh statement, don’t you think? First off, where is the wing help? Second, did the fogo commit that penalty to give Spalding man up in overtime? darn dude. Nobody realizes the importance of the FO position until you don’t have one. McD doesn’t have the horses on defense to hold up this year against teams with a decent offiense making possession even more important. This dot remains a glaring weakness for this team and until they gets fixed they will continue to struggle and win close games. Everyone understands the importance of the FO position.

Why do you continue to lie about this coach and what happened at this game and others? No adult including any coach from either team and no official heard anything. And BR has not been reprimanded by the league for any “anger issues” and he was not penalized by his previous school for anything. What did you his guy ever do to you to lie like this? You meaning sending doubles and being really physical. Then play the victim when opponents call them out. My bet is the coaches sent the goalie to push her over the line. No other reason to have their goalie on the field. Well...you must have a goalie on the field per rules so there is at least ONE reason. You don’t need a goalie on the field. You can play with 8 defenders on that end if you wish ! You are WRONG - you have to have a goalie on the field of play. Doesn't matter which end but you MUST HAVE ONE ON THE FIELD... You should be banned for being so dense! May and must are not the same. Are we sure this is the same person though? this one was wrong but were they also the one citing the rules!?!?!? also did BR really get away with his verbal attack on a child and then her grandmother? what a fool. Get away ? The player and grandmother can step up and tell the powers exactly what was said ! Right now the story starts with a jr attacker saying she heard it and everyone believes her. I’m sure if anyone had proof then there would be a big punishment. The St Paul’s coaches and parents are behind the lies. St. Paul’s is a low class place and you can play with 12 field players if you wish. I have no skin In This fight but out of curiosity why are you so quick to call multiple girls liars for multiple issues that occurred because they attend a specific school while taking the word as gospel of a coach who has been already sanctioned by the iaam for anger issues and was also penalized from his previous coaching job for direct interactions with players, parents, and staff?

Nepotism runs deep all around the island, but at the end of the day the best thing your kid can do is work their butts off day in and out in practice and give the coaches no reason to bench them.
In my town have seen upperclassmen who are bigger/stronger/faster get benched for 8th graders who weigh 120lbs soaking wet and when the PAL Director is part of a big organization and just so happened to play college ball with the varsity coach ..... well it makes you wonder.

91 has enough kids for two AA teams 91 can't even fill one AA in this age group. They constantly lose and lose badly to Rebels. Lose badly? Didn't they go to overtime in two games against the Rebels? Why do you feel the need to talk badly and disparage a group of 9 year old kids, does it make you feel good about yourself? Rebels 32' are a really good team, they have had some good games with the 32' 91 team, both are lucky to have solid local competition.

GC on its way down. When parents take their kids out of their town youth/travel Programs it doesn’t bode well for the future varsity programs. How many Tradition players are now playing for other clubs? What @ChillLaxin. Tradition is relatively new. First class was 2024! So that means for years and years before that, kids played for YJ, Liberty and Elevate...etc. Actually 2025 The vast majority of current varsity contributors never played for tradition. Honestly having a travel club too closely tied to high school team is often a political nightmare. Yes, that's correct. Thanks for the correction.

Is there a B Yellow Jackets team? Jesters and Igloo don’t have competitive teams, right? Or Liberty I guess - who does have a good 2028. Wonder if there will be any movement pre season for a few girls You're in the 2029 thread. Visit US Clublax's site for rankings for whichever year you're looking for and you'll see how they rank. Should be able to identify which the B teams are.

My reference to Stepinac was intentional: ode to my WP time and friends.
The Yorktown hater was spot on, too. Wonder if he's just dailed into Darien, or will he be back?
Kudos to JJ, score seems that it was a good game.
WPHS with a surprise win over Wapp!
Pearly White River with another loss, they are having a down year so far. Still time to get hot and bothered.
16-3 and 1 unknown (Fordham v Bronxv) JJ/Rye was one of the best Section 1 games in awhile. Traded goals all game and it was never more than 1-2 goal separation. JJ can hang their hats on this one, it's a preview of what should be a great Class C championship game. Either team could have won this one. Nice W for White Plains. Looks like Yorktown struggled. I wasn't able to watch it, hoping to catch a replay. They've struggled with turnovers a few games this year, if that was similar in this game, Darien will make you pay dearly. Seems like they did. "Stepincrap" - Funny either way Greenwich/HG was a wider gap than the score indicates.

so whats everyone thinking about the laxachusetts 2028 black team from summer 2023 They have not been a top tier team in the 2028 group. Have they added significant pieces? 3DNE is clearly the class of New England and arguably the best team in the country. Do both programs draw from the same areas? I know Laxachusetts is typically a strong program. I'm wondering if kids that would normally funnel to LX ended up at 3DNE at this age for some reason.

The point is that when a 2nd string player comes in to replace the Injured player he should know what to do as in positioning, play calling, etc. he might not be as athletic but can’t look lost on the field.

In a 19-10 victory over Ohio State, Coykendall showcased her playmaking ability by registering two goals and assisting on six others, tying her season-high for assists which she previously achieved against Central Michigan. She currently leads the team with 40 assists on the season and is third in total points (67).
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Chase Boyle – Loyola University Maryland
In Loyola’s 21-11 victory against No. 17 Princeton, Boyle showcased her scoring prowess by netting a career-high eight goals. She continued her offensive contributions with three goals in another win against Boston University. In addition to her scoring ability, Boyle also demonstrated her proficiency in controlling possession by adding a total of 20 draw controls to her stat line throughout the week.

Josephson's impact was particularly significant in the first half, where she made six crucial stops, helping to build a five-goal lead for the Cavaliers. Josephson's efforts were instrumental in limiting BC’s high-scoring offense to just 12 goals, more than five goals below their season average of 17.64. This exceptional defensive performance contributed significantly to Virginia's first victory over Boston College since 2016 and their first win over a top-three opponent since 2015.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Fallon Vaughn – Yale University
In a pivotal matchup against No. 22 Harvard, Vaughn recroded a game-best five caused turnovers, tying for the most in a game by a Bulldog this season. Her disruptive presence on the field played a crucial role in Yale's impressive 16-8 victory, marking just the second time this season that Harvard has been held to fewer than 13 goals in a game. Harvard entered the game ranked fourth nationally in scoring offense, averaging 16.80 goals per game. Vaughn's exceptional defensive efforts were instrumental in limiting their scoring opportunities and contributing to the team's defensive success. In addition, Vaughn also made significant contributions in controlling possession by tallying four draw controls, tied for the team lead, and securing three ground balls.
DIVISION II
Offensive Player of the Week
Maeve Johnson – Bentley University
Johnson had another big offensive week to help the Falcons to two more wins. Lai, who is third all-time at Wesleyan in career goals, started the week with four goals and one assist to go along with a season-high four ground balls in a 16-12 win over No. 22 Trinity College. Lai then went for five goals on five shots in a 14-7 win over Hamilton on Saturday. The graduate student closed out the week with one of the best performances of her career, matching her career-high with six goals in a 13-10 win over No. 2 William Smith College at home to give the Cardinals their third win over a Top 5 ranked team this season.
Co-Defensive Player of the Week
Molly Green – Rowan University
Also named New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Defensive Player of the Week, Green showcased her versatility and defensive strength in a 1-1 week for the Profs. In the 19-9 win over Kean, Green tied her career-high with five goals, contributing significantly to Rowan's win as they snapped a five-game losing streak and won their NJAC opener. Additionally, she amassed 11 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and 11 draw controls in this game, showcasing her impact on both ends of the field. Do what is best for you, your child and family. Don’t worry about what others are doing. Either way if you as a parent are engaged in their life they should be fine. I have kids at both private and public schools as well as college. All are doing great. One doesn’t guarantee anything over the other. Lacrosse is supposed to be fun for the kids so just remember that. Now let’s move on to the Lacrosse. After a couple weeks it’s been pretty exciting and can’t wait to see who ends up winning it all.

It’s really too bad YJ and TG don’t play. Shows the selfish nature of their owners I suppose. Full participation by all the teams would be so good for Long Island and all the girls. YJ will not enter any teams in the NGLL because it is run by a competing company. TG is not practicing to let the girls focus on school and PAL lacrosse. The reason the league works so well in Maryland is that they do not have a PAL type of league. The Maryland teams have a winter league and then the NGLL spring league. They are at an advantage when the summer tournaments start as they have been playing together for so much longer. Pretty silly not to enter if the reason is that it’s run by a competing company. YJ goes to summer genesis and lax for the cure, and Maryland cup and those are run by a competing company. Anyway, not our problems, other teams will just catch up. YJ still sittting at 6 games at this age group. As a comparison: M&D- 15 games Primetime- 12 games Jesters Black -18 EIGHTEEN! This organization will pass YJ Jesters black barely beat legacy at ngll last week and then lost by 4 to igoo…. Who are they passing? The idea that more games means better organization- can you explain that logic? My thoughts are that it is more important how much teams are practicing and developing players at a developmental age. Practices at game speed are minimal at this age group which is why actual game experience supersede practices

Which parents are more insufferable? Gotta be the Hawks Dads/Mom right? I might drive down from PA… Hawks staring at a 1-6 season, a demotion to AAA, and major departures from their team after the season. It's safe to say they are easily the most uneducated (lacrosse wise), delusional fan base. Also, an embarrassment to the once great Hawks organization. The coach they promised and posted all over social media about never showed up. They are poorly coached by wannabe dads. Not a single kid on that team recruitable for high school after next year. Kinda sad if you think about it.... What Coach are you referring too? Didn't they announce some old Bayhawks player? Is he coaching?
