The answer is No! Unless someone sees a kid who is too old and tells someone they aren't checking.

You don't have to worry, TLI is not on the list for U15 nationals.

Buth there is a team listed as "Long Island." Interesting.

That's "Team Long Island"! Will be interesting to see who is on team with the age problem.

TLI will not lose one kid! They are all eligible and are all 2018's!

Team Long Island is probably the only true u-15 team that is competing right now and winning championships. They have no reclassified players and are probably the youngest 2018 team out there.

No but my son plays on TLI. The teams were set up by U standards. We are one of the only organization that won't lose any kids! Don't you understand? TLI NEVER has kids that are older than US lax guidelines. EVERYONE else does! We are usually the youngest teams! It is amazing how it is SOOOOOO hard for you people to grasp this concept!

TLI is a very good team. 24 players on jesters 2018 team and all are of proper age. Looking forward to hopefully playing again at U 15 nationals.

How many Team 91 teams are there? And what's the top to the bottom in order? Obviously xtreme is the top what follows?

This team was so hopeful, they look to be having many issues. That is really too bad, I feel sorry for the players and parents.

Team is fine, not sure who you are or why you feel the need to comment...probably your son was cut?

Lots of kids committed to schools like JH, Harvard, Penn state, Michigan, ND.

Not sure you should spend your time feeling sorry for them.

For harvard, no naming names, you know better...

team is fine but this year-

One kid left in the in early spring for more playing time elsewhere

A few middies are hurt and missed last two tourny

fogo is hurt and has missed last two tourny and maverick...

certainly not our best year, but it is what it is, no mutiny on this team

Absolutely - a team that played in front of a bunch college coaches in just about every game all summer - lol

Played each other once so far this summer and LI Express beat Express North by 1 in game that could have gone either way right to the last second. Not saying LI is better - both are very good teams.

Let's see how many 2019 are playing as the 2018 "Express TEAM 1" this weekend at U15. Are you guys even practicing anymore? I guess we'll see who even tries out for "TEAM 1" next year.

MC doesn't cut players, he just sidelines them and says mean things to the boys until they quit.

Being committed to an Ivy is a pretty hollow thing to an extent. Admissions declined to admit several 2015 HS class commits at several of them, most notably multiple instances at Princeton and at Penn. A coach committing you means he will support the application for admission folder. And that isn't going to carry weight for a lacrosse ringer with a 3.4 or below and average scores. I suppose Harvard is all the wiser to frown upon the public flouting of a commit given that sobering reality. It is nice to have a coach support your son's application. Really nice and it makes a difference IF that kid meets or exceeds all of the standards, and the standards are high and at a few of them they are really high. We like to call it de-committing from Penn to go to an ACC school or the like, but if you believe that is what really happens later you are kidding yourselves.

Wow...really sad for those posting negative comments about this team. Ivy look isn't all its cracked up to be??? I guess your son is ivy and you know more than the rest?

Perhaps you people are just a little jealous that kids on this team (other than Ivy) are actually getting money to go to school?

did your son get cut? I am sad for you but why the snarky comments? These are kids with a nod to the best colleges in the country, can't you be happy for them?

Just 15 year old boys doing the best they can and you all feel the need to ridicule? what is wrong with you????

Nobody has it in for a kid who has a chance to be sponsored by an Ivy coach. That is a big boost for an application and a real privilege and advantage in a competitive process. And nobody feels too bad later when a daddy bragger or a kid are scrambling for a college because the kid didn't come through with high scores and grades.

But don't follow that advice from someone who knows and just blow off the attention to academic detail and hope for the best of you will. That sounds like a plan.

Can't speak for all the boys or how all parents run their families. But from what I know of this team and my own son, academics are always first. Before sports, before community service, before xbox...

Most of the boys on the team fit the above and the reason they are getting the looks they are getting is strictly due to their work ethic, both on the field and off.

All the schools we visited before choosing were very clear on the role of academics and if anything, made my son see that what we have been preaching for years holds true.

So, for the guy concerned about the LI express team one kids having to scramble for colleges because the kids didn't keep their grades up, please spend your time worrying about your own son/daughter...but the advice is nonetheless taken in the spirit in which it was given. thank you...

Dear Lord, please stop posting... We get it. Your son is a super athlete and a super student and so are all of the kids on his team. Everything is perfect in your lives and on your team and your kids can do no wrong. Wow, it must be nice to live in the land gum drops and sugar plums, where everything is just so awesome. Give it a rest already, you sound ten times worse than the hater you're trying to put down.

I am being told a few things help clarify.

1). Are the 18 months that follow 8th grade graduation the most important.

2). What are the best events to attend?

3). Do you really need to play for a travel team Summer going into Jr year or should you just play tournaments with your HS team and do Showcases?

Trying to save for college and this seems a bit much. Bought into the travel concept in the early years and still believe it has paid off in skill and exposure and being in the know. But saving 20K instead of spending 6-8K a year on this seems like a better choice.

More than a little jealous I see. Yes, I see you finally get it and are able to laugh at yourself...

You come here and spew sour grapes...Sorry things in your life aren't working out...should the rest of us not be happy because you are miserable?

Maybe just don't say anything if you don't have anything to say? Not you, you feel the need to bring everyone down to your level. I feel sorry for you!!!

You are going to get both ends of the spectrum on this, but I am gearing towards the playing for HS team and doing showcases. My son rising 10th grader, used to play travel and I got tired of spending all the money and the politics and all. He played for his hs team this year where we went to a number or showcase tournaments. Just got back from Hotbeds where 3 different coaches inquired about him. To me, that is enough especially being a rising 10th grader. His preference is a smaller school so he gets to play as well as experience college and not just lacrosse. Look into both approaches but you are right, the money being spent on travel could cover school.

Brag-a-thon? Really? Maybe spend a few minutes reading and point out what comments offended you and reached the level of brag-a-thon...Perhaps recall that this particular series of comments was the result of some troll claiming that LIE team 1 fell apart. Was that you?

You are so transparent it is not even funny...You are one of those people that takes pleasure when other people fail aren't you? Like when your kid doesn't get to play, you hope the other kid in his spot fails...Such a sad way to go through life, but to each his own...

If not interested in hearing about good things that happen to some of the boys, don't come to this site, go somewhere else.

I know express north hired talent from extreme for u15 nationals. Did express long island do the same?
I know Mike C has been added players all season long to the disgust of the parents.
Can any on tell me if the hired talent?
FCA has 3 extreme team members on its team fl$- hired a bunch of talent.
Team long island had lite rosters 16 players I guess all there players could not make age.
Tell me Iam wrong but this just not seem right, if you want to impress me win with the 24 players you started the year with.

Why would anyone want to impress a buffoon? There's no reason to point out any facts because you won't listen to them. So what do we have? Let's see - you have nothing good to say about anyone or any team and you have appointed yourself as the arbiter of youth lacrosse. Just a jerk. And I'm not even pointing out that there's a difference between there and their (and they're, for that matter.
