Good one. Did you write material for Bob Hope?

That's cool that you hate the guy, but not sure what his weight matter, except to show you can only do childish digs.

It's fine to complain about age based teams, but he isn't breaking any rules. More importantly, his kids get committed more than almost any other club.

Keep crying.

Have no idea what the Hawks coach looks like but this is a close description of no other than Ryan M, the leader of the pos Crabs organization.
I guess you could say he isn't violating any rules per se but he is gaming the system with holdbacks and at times double holdbacks. Like it or not he is a real d bag and a true POS, always has been and always will be.
I'm hearing, but not sure if accurate, that tryouts for Crabs this month has been on the lite side. Could it be that people are catching on to his bs program and looking for better clubs without a coach who yells and belittles his players.

Hawks are in Annapolis, not Baltimore.

Guess again

Childish digs? That guy screams and belittles his players for not getting off the field fast enough when he 1) never played the game and 2) couldn't run from the goal line to the restraining line without passing out.

The kids got themselves committed - not him. Don't pretend like he has the secret sauce. He doesn't. The MIAA is the best HS lacrosse league in the country. A monkey could get half these kids on a D1 team.

Crabs star is fading fast...

Fading fast is right! That sham of a program has lost its luster real quick. All the hold back nonsense is already causing problems for them.

No. Although Looney's folded two different HS teams, so they will do anything.

Unless you are a 2020, no one gets cut from Looneys. They can't even field Green teams at most age groups these days.

Hey butthead, that was 2 years ago and the reasons/full explanation has been given on this board many times. Seems you either can't read, can't comprehend what you try to read or just have no clue what is happening in the youth lacrosse world.

Also I do believe your kid was cut and you have an agenda. Now lets see if you understand this.

You must love showing everyone how stupid you are and how you have no idea what is happening in youth lacrosse.
Looney's has an orange and green team in almost every age group, no every age group, but most age groups.

Plus what other club has teams in seven age groups? This coming season there will be teams from 2019 to 2025. So keep on posting your useless dribble, everyone loves to see buttheads make fools of themselves.

No, I think the confirmation is that you are one of the biggest as*holes on this form.
If that is the best you have, you need to just disappear. How stupid.

Definitely one of those Looney's dads with a red cup and a "degree" from UMBC or something.

OMG, it is getting worse. Weak weak statements, not even on point. See what happens when you don't study and prepare for your GED exam. Well, maybe you can try again in the winter when you have more time. Washing dishes at the beach can take up much of your time.
Oh, and all of the Looney's games I have ever been to, have never seen anyone from Looney's with a red cup.
Lastly, you don't even want to challenge me on where I went to school, I would blow your [lacrosse] out of the water, little man.

Very false statement. There were cuts in all divisions and there are Orange and Green teams in almost all divisions. Check your facts, [lacrosse], because you embarrass yourself when you don't.

Which clubs don't allow hold backs and only go by age? Serious question.

This is true, all clubs have holdbacks, some more than others. Crabs at one time was the only program that built it's teams around holdbacks. As soon as the grade base system was implemented Crabs figured as way to game the system, got many players to reclass and would seek out players that they knew were reclassing. Others, such as FCA and Looney's etc. had holdbacks but did not seek them out, if you made their teams and were a holdback that was fine.
Now it seems Crabs is loosing its luster and FCA is closely becoming the leader of holdbacks, but I don't think they are going after holdbacks the way Crabs did, they are just moving to FCA.
Like it or not, holdbacks are a part of youth lacrosse and it will stay this was until so0me higher authority in youth lacrosse chooses to change back to age base. It is what it is.

ok then. Are there clubs that limit the # hold backs or won't take a more excessive holdback - say born 8 months before 9/1/xx?

The problem is those three clubs draw from the Baltimore Private schools where reclassifying is rampant.

Ok so the answer to the previous question is no right?

Do you know the percentage of private school kids that play on Breakers, Team 91, Koopers, MD Wolfpack, Green Turtle, Rough Riders?

You know the answer to that as well. No club limits the number of holdbacks. The number of holdbacks on the team is determined by where those kids want to play, not the clubs rules or desires to have them.

I'd like to think that a Club owner with some ethical fiber might say to a 16 year old 8th grader - you need to play up. Instead we have the RMs of the world that encourage playing down.

Correct..Without the large amount of private schools holding back ( mainly prefirst ) this whole grade base team issue of children playing down would be a none issue.. Long Island has gone by grade for years without the vitriol you hear in Maryland now. Most children are on age public school kids.

I would say a good portion of kids are born in summer. But dont kid yourself if you dont think many are born before that. And more and more private school parents are holding them back as they dont want to be at a disadvantage either. Look at the size of prefirst classes in private schools now!

In all youth recreation sports, you play against kids within a year or so older or younger (there would be too many age groups if you went by numerical age exactly). In HS and College you could play against players around 3 years or so older or younger. What is the question here - that maybe when a kid is in the 7th or 8th grade, and plays club lacrosse, he may have to play against a kid a year or so older or younger, like he has been his entire life? This is a loser debate. Lacrosse players care zero about this mundane issue, but I guess if you incessantly droll on about something long enough, it could become a real issue in your own mind.
