What happens for the national champs? currently YJ has one Blue and one Gold team going in each division. They now have two blue and two gold in 2021, so who gets to go?

The real A team goes. That's why being on any team other than the top, is disastrous during recruiting years because the coaches go to the games where the top teams are playing. Think about it, if you were a college coach, why would you bother watching girls that could not make the A team?

All the B girls always find a college come on you knew that. they don't find Maryland but the do find a home just like Liberty Wave and legacy girls do. If yo can play you just have to work harder at getting noticed

One of the girls that moved down was one of the biggest, strongest players, big mistake losing her due to a poor tryout! one of the girls who moved up was very mediocre last year on B. Will be the same team essentially, which means get ready to be smoked by the MD teams once again

The YJ A team will be in for another disappointing summer.

Wait till that girl who moved down gets coached up properly. Will be fun to watch A get dismantled in MD and then by B again. LACROSSE can't be played by yourself it is a passing game and until they decide to coach , the result will be the same. Then everyone in that age group will run for the hills.

YJ sends three teams to the Nat Champs as they get older. 2021 will send three this year.

The reality is it doesn't matter what color code is put on the web site. Everyone knows who the A team coach is and who the B team coaches are. The color BS is so a father of a kid now on the C or D team can tell all of his friends no it's not like that there is two A teams and two B teams. If your kid is on one of the second teams then they should be saying "my daughter is on the B team or my daughter is on the D team. " Everyone will figure it out eventually but at least they can justify leaving from another clubs B team and say that their daughter made YJ gold when it is really the D team

I see names from black rosters and other top team rosters on top teams and on very low teams all the way down to 5th team. I'm sure many spots will go unclaimed, but it is also an awkward walk back to the old clubs. How does that conversation go?

True, none of the better teams attend anymore. A dinosouar about to go extinct. YJ cant beat the better teams anymore so they will hide more often at bogus, expensive tounaments like this.

MD doesn't go because that tournament is based on age not grade.

College coaches could care less about age. Sounds like the whining on the boys threads. Play your grade or stay home

Nope, MD has never gone because holdbacks are a long standing MD tradition. There's a reason they've never gone and it has nothing to do with money. Birth certificates will matter.

Actually they have gone just got crushed when they had to play on age so they stopped going. MD teams do not like playing championship tournaments on level playing field they need the home cooking. Give skywalkers credit they have shown up and been successful.

You know what else is a long standing tradition? yj parents and coaches making lame excuses when they get beat. Md girls DO NOT hold back. I know some boys do, but the girls do not. Every time one of you yj pukes make this excuse, it is rebutted. Take the loss like a "man" and move on. The MD teams typically don't go to this tournament because it is a waste of time and money.

Why is it a waste of time and money? Facilities are great. It has teams from all over, they call it a National Championship, and the Long Island teams go. I don't get the argument. Lax for the Cure is better? Seriously?

You my friend are a marketers dream!!! A fancy title without the best competition cant be called a national championship. Its like every tournament being billed as a "college showcase" its all marketing BS. You really could argue that although there ARE TEAMS from other parts of the country that you don't usually see, that the tournament has one of the weakest fields of the season..

From a marketing standpoint again, TG and YJ's try to win it every year and then publicize it wherever they can to people like you who eat it up. Its a road trip with a fancy name and a cool tee shirt. that's it

THe reason why it is a waste of time and money is that no college coaches go. With no coaches there it isn't a priority.

it is a "national title" since it is US lacrosse's National Championship. Just because you choose not to go does not change that fact.

About as much of a National title as [lacrosse]'s and WSYL for boys, which are both a waste of time, do not feature top competition, and far from a "real" championship. Same as any other Tourney win. The real championships are public school state championships, and D1,D2, and D3 Nat championships. Now those are real and impressive!

Yes, Lax for the Cure is better. It draws the top teams in the country with over 300 college coaches in attendance. You know how you measure the importance of a tourney, how many college coaches attend. Teams that win Lax for the Cure are considered the top teams in the country, because they are playing the best teams. National Championship is just a name when the top teams are not in attendance.

Call it the World Championship if you want, it still does not make a difference...
