Anonymous Unregistered A	Yes the Bandits have a daddy coach but he is also a professional and college coach! Probably the best coach at this age group. Blue Fish? Maybe the B Massapequa kids went there not the A players. Their are kids from 9 different towns on TB. Oh and as far as recruiting goes yes Adelphi but also Yale Maryland and other top schools. Don't be a hater because you know you are paying a lot of money for some half [lacrosse] coach! Do your homework and find the best coach for your kids skill level.

Anonymous Unregistered A	Looking for solid Program that has a lot of practice and is competitive but right below the A bracket teams that dominate. I'd rather see my kid have more playing time and gain experience than wear a big time jersey and watch from sidelines. Suggestions?

Anonymous Unregistered A	I hate the term "hold backs". If the player is is a rising 6th grader, then it's not cheating. Has anyone a parent of a supposed "hold back" why their son is in that 2023 class? Consider the child who at 3/4 years old was developmentally delayed in some way, struggled with speech, was in occupational therapy, on the autism spectrum, maybe ADHD or the family religious and educational views differed from the state, or the kindergartener started school in another state where the cutoffs are different. You just don't know......................As the rules are currently, if they are a rising 6th grader, it is NOT CHEATING!!!!!

They had 22 kids on the roster after tryouts and added 5 or 6 players before the first tournament all from Massapequa! It's the Mohawks alter-ego. Don't bother if your not from Massapequa. The players from the 9 other towns are just a check to cash for JC!!

Still very unstable situation that sill take Another disappointing year to fix. OPINION:Avoid! Igloo: PROS: 1st team to beat the Bandits. Great accomlishment. Solid team Made up of a bunch of hand picked Manhassett 32 players from Daddy coaches. They proved this past year that they can compete and will again this year. CONS: turmoil with coaching. Head coach leaves after providing a solid Season. 2nd time AA has made that change at the top which doesn't allow the team to get settled. Will they change it up every year?? I would caution going to this team this year because of the uncertaintybof too many variables. OPINION: Go check out tryouts Out-laws: PROS: MB is doing a great job rebuilding this organization and team. New coach with a winning experience and record. Some good players. They will find ways to have goodntournament showings. CONS: you nust never know what you will get with this team mostly because Of the constant changes at the helm. Rebuilding year. Will have mostly disappointing runs at the better clubs. OPINION: checkout tryous Legacy: PROS: up and coming organozation and team. Recently won world series which showed alot of naysayers that they are for real. Very solid group of core kids with some obvious holes. I think the OP assessment was pretty accurate especially about the team that held tryouts at Farmingdale last night. My son decided to accompany a friend last minute as we had no plans on trying out for this team. Things were pretty standard for tryouts until they pulled everyone off the field and split Bandit/Warrior players into two teams that will scrimmage everyone else. Now there must have been at least 12 coaches in that age group but 11 of them stayed on one side of the field the entire time and per my son told the loan coach on the other side of the field to let them know if anyone stood out. I don't know what hand picking the few you want is called but I would assume that's what it looks like to me.

Anonymous Unregistered A	Very accurate assessment of programs above...Pretty common knowledge as well...No need to kill the guy for stating what we all know is true...the person who is critical of the assessment Is more than likely one of those parents who jumps from team to team wearing out their welcome and is trying to relive their childhood through their sons 11 year old lacrosse team. This should be a forum for honest advise and assessments of programs. I also find it childish that certain programs can't be mentioned by name. Most people are really starting to look at this website as a joke...It has turned into a soap opera where kids and teams are disparaged by jealous parents...

For the amount of money these clubs are, I expect a decent amount of quality practices expecially in season. you want dedication from the coaches and other players on the team and the parents.

Next week they will further scrutinize the 20 or so non-warrior/bandit kids and narrow the lot down to the 10 they are looking for. It's a tryout? How else would you figure out who to take unless they play against high quality kids?

Last year I asked him at tryouts if someone was going to be the coach. In fact I asked that someone too. Both AA and the unnamed coach said no. The unnamed coash did in fact coach and is coaching again. They will let you know after tryouts who the other coach is
