REGISTRATION FOR THE BIG TIME SHOOTOUT WILL CLOSE ON JUNE 1ST, 2012. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER A TEAM, YOU MUST DO SO THIS WEEK OR NEXT WEEK. THERE IS ONLY ONE SPOT REMAINING IN MANY OF OUR DIVISIONS AND SOME ARE FILLED TO CAPACITY. REGISTER ONLINE AT WWW.PLAYERS365.COM!

The following divisions have an odd numbers of teams that we are looking to round out for this year's event : 5A, 5B, 6A, 6B, 7A, 8B, Varsity A.

The Eighth Annual Long Island Big Time Shootout will be held at Harbor Links Fields (Port Washington) and Mitchell Athletic Complex, in Nassau County on Saturday, June 23rd and Sunday, June 24th, 2012. There will be age groups from grades 4 to 12 (both A and B divisions in each grade), participating in a fun filled and action packed lacrosse festival. As in years past, we are anticipating great competition in each age group. Last year we had great participation from teams in this region including teams from Florida and Texas. The Big Time Shootout has sold out the last seven years and we are almost FULL for this year's event.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or call me at (914) 325-6424. We look forward to hopefully having you and your teams at this year’s Big Time Shootout. Thank you!

Sincerely,

Michael J. Bartomioli

Our Outlaw 5th Grade Silver-which is 4th/5th played at Big time shootout. We are a B Team. Our 2nd game was against unparalleled lacrosse. They were huge. It states plain as day that tournament is grade you are going into.
I asked Coach and he said we are all going into 7th, I asked kid on attack same answer. We got destroyed. next game against 3 tribes it got better , kids where going into 7th and 8th. We left before our 4th game, how can any one let this happen. parents on other team should be ashamed of them selves. When I spoke to 2 guys running it they seamed to not care at all. Tournament should be held responsible. What if kid got hurt and they knew of this. They would be out of business. Both Those teams should have been sent packing, but instead our team lost its last game. Big Time Shootout was the BIG losers

That's a disgrace. I agree that for the safety of the players tournament officials should take a look at teams before games. My sons team played in Maryland a few weeks ago in the U11 division. The opposing Maryland team walked by on the way to the field. Half the team was almost six feet tall. 11 years old? Not with shaving cuts on their faces. Thank goodness no players were hurt. Just got banged up a bit.

Note that BOTC is checking into the details here with the tournament directors. We expect to have a response during the business day on Monday.

This is just garbage. Birth Certificates, brackets by age!!! It's the only way this stops. Playing up should be the decision of the team that wants to do it. Not by the team that plays down.

the tournament schedule showed the outlaws in the 6B bracket and not on the 4/5 schedule. Were they misplaced? I thought kids going into 7th grade could play on a 6 or 7 roster.
