Bay Shore would have entered in the A division if they played the tournament. The 3rd and 5th grade teams always play in an A division because we love the challenge!!

91 5th grade A team was in Maryland this weekend. The White team played in the tournament.

My son is on the White 91 team and last year this team lost every game they played. So this year they did some revamping of the team. Got some new players got rid of some old players, new coaches etc. It is very nice you all think we should be playing in the A division, but give us a chance to win some games too. Our boys deserve it and work hard for it.

what right do you, your coaches or your directors have to decide what is best for your kids when there are so many people on this board who know so much more about what's best for your kids. - joking aside, thank you for the post, hopefully it shut a few idiots up. always do what's best for your own kids and screw everybody else.

I have never before been to this part of this site before. A friend of mine told me about this topic and to check it out.
Are you people for real. I have been involved in the game of lacrosse for 30 years. When I first started to play everyone was about the game. It had not been tainted by the parents yet because they didn't know enough about the game to complain. I have a 9yr old boy who loves to play this game, and thats what it is right now for him, a game. Something that he does to have fun and compete against other kids his age. Instead of teaching our kids about being "ELITE" or "A" or "B" players, lets try to remember they are children and our job as parents is to teach them about good sportsmanship and morals.
My son asked me on the way to the tournament, "Who is Andy Forsberg?" I told him I didnt know but will find out for him. What I got out of this weekends tournament was that I am so lucky to be on the sidelines to watch my sons games. I am sure the Forsberg kids would love nothing more than to have their father on the sidelines to see their games. It amazes me that such an awesome event gets overlooked by a bunch of parents who have nothing better to do then put other kids/teams down. When I told my son who Andy Forsberg was and what he did for his community he said to me, "Wow Daddy that is nice, but I'm glad there is not a tournament named after you"!! THANK YOU ANDY!! Even though you were not there this weekend you taught my son a very valuable life lesson!!!!

Sincerely,
Matthew LoNigro Jr's father

Are wee going to start insulting golfers now...LOL!

WELL SAID!

You are 100% right.

Whoever that person was who told you about this site, must have been smart. You're the first person to shed the right light on this whole topic.

Your son is a very lucky boy!

The Gladiators 2019 made it to the Championship in 5th grade A and lost to a very good Express Orange team.

Do you think they should play in EVERY tournament? Are you going to ask this about everything they don't play in. Travel teams get 4-5 tournaments each season, maybe this is just one they chose NOT to play in.

Are these boys the first two to EVER play on more then one team, I think not, my son will this year and did the two years before that.

how is it your business, and why are you hating on things bro?

get over yourself coach, its time to move on.

Your point is correct it is about the boys playing and you should teach your son about who the man is and what he has done. ( just as with the other charity tournaments Christian Koehler jimmy mcgrath and next weeks j Gallagher)

But some of these posts are good ( all though maybe in bad taste) good because they bring out what can be corrected.

Forsberg was a great event for LI lacrosse and there were many smiles when the day was done. Thank you Outlaws for a great day.

Onto garden city.

Isn't it time to get over yourself and your grudge.

Who do you think you are that another team that your child doesn't play on is any of your business.

You have participated in turning the attention away form a good cause toward your nonsense. Shame on you!

If the Havoc/Dune Dawgs 5th grade team showed up and beat the pants off of all the other 5th grade teams you'd have something to say about that too.

Move on, the focus should be on the teams that did play and the good cause. It should also be about memorializing a man who did so much good in the community. try following the example.

This is not a grudge towards d/d , but most likley a 91 parent who's kid sat on the sidelines in OC while the two D/D kids who are on that 5th grade team played for 91 Crush over the weekend , and did not see the light of day on that field because those two scholared kids took playtime away from many loyal kids of team , only to be defeated by same Program competition while at the expense of mommy and daddys hard earned money to take that trip . pay for hotel , food , gas .. only to becoome a sideline fixture.. When will it stop ? Its a shame that a great cause here on long island is not recognized by even the elite "Orange Julius" himself... ALL HAIL ...

why are you bashing 91 for playing each other. Both teams played pooled brackets and worked there way through semis to get to the finals.

Be happy you have two great teams.

The crush would not have had fun at AF. Unless they woved to 5th, but then they would have played Express Orange or 91 2019 Orange (if 91 brought all teams there). So good on them for going to MD.

It is a shame Express isnt going to LAX fest. Can someone please throw out the olive branch!

What's gonna happen next with that bushel of oranges ??
