Does that mean all greys are done? A lot of real good kids on that 2019 team. Outlaws could be real strong there.

Board of Directors???
Give me a break. What, the son isn't good enough to fill the role?
Travis owns the All Greys. Isn't that called competitor?

The Outlaws are growing in size and are putting together a board.

Mike Brennan is in charge of recruiting. Coach Travis will help with practices, clinics as well as coaching.

We have not dealt with the All Greys, only Kevin Travis who is not an owner of the All Greys.

We are excited to have him and Dennis Bonn on the board!

I thought Travis was a coach for 2018 Legacy Carnage last year?

How can Travis coach the Outlaws when he is coaching the All Greys? He's already committed to coaching. Does this mean that the Outlaws or the All Greys get shafted??

Clinic and tryouts cancelled with Travis. It's on the all Greys website. It's not really a secret.

I would like to know who's coaching the 2023 Black team and if it's the same coach as last year plus how many kids does that team normally carry.

2024 AA- Brad McClam (Hopkins, Coached last year) - Will announce second coach soon.

Full list will be posted on the website very soon, still in interview process with some to make sure we have top coaches at all levels on all teams. Coaching is extremely important and we are making sure we get all staffs right, please call Pat Brennan 631-553-0771 with any questions.

How many tournaments did 2018 Black win during the 2015 summer season in an A division? Is the team going to have the expanded roster? With Smithtown East and West announcing they will be having a summer season next summer will you be able accommodating for the fact that many of these players will not be at 4 tournaments.

Further supporting my sentiment that the B teams are just a money grab. Had they any real interest or plan for their B team, it wouldn't have slipped their mind.

They look for coaches who can bring the most players. If they bring a lot they make them a director. They are not the only ones . Name up top is what we heard and he is good coach but don't see him coaching b squad especially if brings some Smithtown kids

No expanded Roster. If your kids can't play in the tournaments, why would you have him try out? Maybe play with HS coach and hope the best.

So how are they going to field a team if many players who might play for them are from Smithtown East and West. It's a simple question regarding logistics. Even with the expanded roster the team had a tough time getting enough players to tournaments this past summer.

I am assuming you have some experience with this team. It would be nice to get some info before forking over $2400. Do you know if the same coach is coaching the team again this year?

I think this question needs to brought to the attention of the parents and players that do agree to play in certain tournaments but dont show up leaving the team shorthanded. They would go play for their High School team and not show to the travel team tournaments. This was a regular occurrence for a good amount of the tournaments last season. This is an undeniable truth and can not be denied. It was unfair to those who did show up and should be considered when tryouts are being had. What is the commitment of the player/parent. When you don't show it hurts everyone who does show up. Having only 14 to 15 kids at a tournament you traveled 4 hour to get to sucks.

Are you guys saying that half of the 2023 team did not show up to games last year? And it could be worse this year since Smithtown will have two 2023 teams and those players will be required to play for Smithtown?

Some invites have gone out. There are still spots available on ALL teams.

2017, 2018 have first tryouts this weekend.

2019-2026 all have second round this weekend. It is only necessary make 1 tryout of the 3.

The LI Outlaws would like to welcome Head Coaches Bobby Moltisanti Jr. (Smithtown West) and Jay Lambert (Smithtown East) to the LI Outlaws Staff and Board of Directors.

They will both coach teams and help with player development through positional clinics, training and K-2 clinic coming Summer 2016!

Interesting that both Smithtown coaches are doing Outlaws 2020 age group. If your from Melville, West Islip or Northport you might have a hard time getting on that squad.

Just kidding I'm sure the coaches are stand up guys.

Pat Brennan coaching three teams is an awesome feat as well.

Love the name changes from Black and Silver to Select and Black. But as they say, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, you can call it a swan but it is still a duck. Best of luck to those kids on the Silver, oops I mean Black, teams this year!

This is definitely not true. Select play in competitive tourn. Against high level competition. With that said, if your kid doesn't make select, run for the hills. Like most clubs, the B team experience is inferior to the A team and no matter what the director says or who he brings in it won't change. It's the nature of the beast. Club A teams are worth the $, but if your on B your just padding pockets.

No idea. Really ask the 2018 Black which is now AA how many tournaments the actually did well in when they were not in the B or C bracket. They did well at Hofstra Blue and Gold in the C division of the 2018 Bracket beating up on crap teams.
Come on entering in good tournaments and barley winning a game is not a good thing.

They're definitely not AA. That's a silly new designation, to lift all the teams up, so nobody has to play on C!

That is an understatement. Sure have plenty to say about something you know nothing about.

Thats idiotic. One of the Outlaws B teams is coached by a Varsity coach with two state Championships and numerous County championships. They practice all year long. You just dont know what your talking about

This reply is to the upper portion of this post. He was supposed to be the coach of black but was moved to silver. Black would have been better off with him as a coach. He's a real coach. As for Black 2018 there were more practices cancelled than actually had during the season this past summer. Why do you think so many players from last years team have decided not to even tryout. Because the coaching was so good on Black. Lol

Yea last year the Silver barely won a game all season long! I would never subject my kid to that! The B team on Outlaws is a money grab!

Everyone bashing outlaws for doing what 91 and express do to market their teams??
Last year 91 Heat AA, Amabush A, Stampede B. Really?? Same can be said for those teams as a money grab with the exception of Heat, they are truly AA and a very good team.

Not true. Legacy 2019 B team has college head coach who won a national championship and multiple coach of the year awards.

Actually they typically won 2 games for every one they lost. If getting superb coaching and literally 10 times the amount of practices promised and all the kids learning a tremendous amount and all getting better is a rip off, so be it. I will leave you with this. Not every town is a Smithtown, WM or Garden City. There are numerous varsity coaches out there super thankful for solid B teams that help make kids who better who while not being the stars on their HS teams will get playing time, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. By the way, that SIlver team beat the Jesters A team. SO you have Igloo, 91, WOlverines, Outlaws Black, TLI Icon, Legact and a few others I missed . Other then teh 200 odd kids that make up those teams, do the other thousand kids who love lax get to play ? Most of the kids not trying out are kids that wouldn't have made the team this year, just be honest. After the top 10 kids, major drop off in talent. At least be honest with yourself.

Come on entering in good tournaments and barley winning a game is not a good thing.

Your a disgruntled moron. There were no a,b, or c brackets in that tournament. One bracket for all teams in the age group. But I guess it makes for a good story for you to support your agenda. Go play for your school team, I'm sure your son has a tremendous amount of interest at the next level.

That's commical. Can't you see that those who left did so because the team was horribly run. Guess the kid from Hopkins and one of the players claimed as one of 2 D1 potential players on the team were not good enough. Oh and the middy who went to Terps. The story will always be they were not good enough but the personal emails texts and phone calls asking them to come back saying things will be different. Ask any parent about the nonexistent practices all the cancelation of practice, barely enough kids at tournaments, no offensive sets and so on and so on. There was plenty of talent on the team. Just no coaching.

It was called the C Division where the caliber of team that played was horrible. There was also a JV A and JV B this is where most 2018 teams played even 2019 teams played. I guess I have no idea about the caliber of teams that were in your division like 91 Stampede and 91 White they are definitely AA teams LOL.

That's right, C division dummy, not C bracket. Three divisions, one group not broken up by talent level. Yes they blew out every lower level team and went undefeated with 15 kids, not bad. No one said they were AA last year. Except you. What team does ur superstar play for? If your happy where ur kid is, why do you care so much? I'll tell you who doesn't care, the head coaches of the 4 schools interested in my son, that's who. Doesn't that just burn you? HA HA HA good luck. Why not come down to tryouts on Sunday and give our kids a real schooling with ur superstar? You know you won't, and you know why...

First things first. No one and no one is saying anything about the kids. I have said it it previous post the team was talented but poorly coached. There were plenty of good players on that team just when the coaches start off the season saying there are only 2 D1 players and 2 others get D1 commits before them is funny. Shows you their knowledge. There were plenty of talented players that could have showed better if the team was better run. Come on if your kid played on the team were you happy with the fact that every tournament the team was shorthanded. I don't care how good a kid is if he barely steps off the field he fatigues and skill level declines. The D poles played their tales off but how much time can you stay on the field when only 3 or 4 poles show up to a tournament in 90 degree heat. I am happy your kid is getting looks. I am just pointing out how mismanagement of this team hurt the overall recruiting possibilities of all the players. I would put this teams physical talent level against many teams with some good coaching they could have given a lot of good teams a run. Good luck to your kid and all the kids staying. Wish them all luck at tryouts. Just hope the team is better run than last year.

As I read the back and forth of happy and unhappy posters regarding the Outlaws all I can say is for whatever the reason everyone has a different experience on the same team. It seems there are some who were unhappy and they have the right to post their opinion as do those who were happy. I know many of the parents and players on the team and they were all good people and good kids. Whatever the reasons some will leave and some will stay. Just remember its a service industry and people will always post good and bad things for whatever the reason. There are teams for everyone and finding the right fit is up to the consumer. We at Back of the Cage do our best to be unbiased and allow for information to be posted. The moderators and that includes myself review every post and make sure its not an attack on a kid or an individual. So please lets keep it informative and not attack anyone. We wont let it happen!!!

Lol, ok here it is plain and simple. A 2018 going into 10th grade is considered JV. So if there is a JV A and B what division should they have been playing in. I think either of the JV divisions. There was also a C Division which was made up of really bad teams. So if I am understanding this correctly the team could have played in JV A B and or the C Division. If I rank them I would say the C Division is the lower of the divisions they were able to play in. So yes they dominated in the C Division of the available divisions they could have played in. It's listed in tourney machine for those who are curious. Hofstra Blue and Gold tournament.

2018 C division meant Championship division. There was no 2018 A or B.

Coaching in beginning was not great, then their was a coaching change and the kids started to play really well. Cutting the expanded roster is going to do wonders for this team with Travis and MB coaching. Good luck at tryouts!

Wow. One team out of how many age groups had a decent B team experience. That's the exception not the rule and that's great for those parents and players. I have three kids who have all played club. Sometimes A, sometimes B. 2 have done both during their lacrosse lives. None have ever had a B experience that came close to what the A teams have been. If you do find a club and a coach on a B team that gives you that great experience, stick with them, because they're in it for the right reasons.

No one is getting a free ride to college through lacrosse. If someone is feeding you information to the contrary you need to speak to some athletes. There are 12 scholarships split amongst the whole team. The lax full ride is a mythical beast.

You're 100% correct! It's actually even worse because the 12.5 scholarships for the entire team are ONLY if the team is FULLY funded which a large amount of teams are not.

How about B level team where there is no A team? Thinking Millon, etc. is that a better route than Outlaws B?

Yes because they can't bring down A players when they don't think you can win the game in your own.

Had my son out for his first tryout for the 2024 Outlaws yesterday after all the coaching and staff moves they made. Some real talent showed up. These are going to be great teams.

Will those Put on Black after first try out get an email that they stayed on black after second tryout or will you only get an email if you move up to select?

The parent is asking because the Outlaws respond to messages directly here. If you don't have anything to say why say anything at all. It's amazing how big and bad you guys are behind a computer keyboard.

No I don't. I do know they respond to postings. But thank you for taking time out of your day to respond to my question with a useless drip of words. You must be very proud of yourself right now. Next time if you know the answer, leave it. If not, happily go on your way. Cheers!

We are working very hard to have the e-mails sent out as soon as possible. They will be out early in the week.

There were over 600 kids who tried out for teams this weekend, we need to be thorough and make sure we get all correct.

There is still 1 more round of tryouts in september for any new kids, and kids trying to make a higher level team.

Any questions for 2026-2020 call Pat Brennan 631-553-0771- any questions for 2019-2017 call Mike at 631-487-6338

I thought invites already went out after first tryout and the second tryout was to fill any positions left? I know people already got invites!

Last year we got emails saying our child was selected to be on the other team. I would assume that you will get same email this year, they are very thorough.

Invites went out after first tryout to fill 8-12 spots per team, leaving a lot of openings. The second tryout has a lot of new kids fighting for spots on all teams- and gives kids from first tryout a chance to make a higher team. Then another round of e-mails goes out starting to fill some spots.

We will have a third tryout (September) to fill all remaining spots on all teams- and to give everyone a 2nd and 3rd chance to make a higher team if desired.

Brought my son to the try-outs this year for the fifth grade team because I thought one of the coaches that coached last year would be coaching. He was the only one that was at everything and provided some stability to an otherwise disorganized year. Why is he not back? Not happy!

Coaches were listed prior to tryouts so you knew who the coach was gonna be before you tried out??

If you were on the team last year, you knew what coaches where coming back. You may not be happy that the coach you liked didn't come back but There was no disorganization. Since you didn't register to play on outlaws this year on either black or select, you will have a chance to get you life reorganized.

In regards to 2021 age group.

Thanks to all that have been to our tryouts. We have over 100 kids signed up for the 2021 age group. The talent has been amazing. E Mails are currently going out. Your child will be assigned to one of our two teams or asked to come back. We have had a number of parents ask if we would consider a third team.

We have decided to go ahead with a third team, but we will do it a little different than the Select and Black. It will be a B team, and designed to be very developmental. Here's how it will run.

Fall: 6 Training sessions- Spring: 6 Training Sessions
Summer: 10 Practices along with 4 Tournaments
Coaches in Fall and spring will be High school coaches. Summer will be TBA.
Cost $1800
With all this talent, we expect to get these kids to the next level.

All are still invited to our 3rd try out, as we still have some spots available on Select/Black.

Thanks
LI Outlaws

Nothing in spam , they should know who should be on 2018 select & black , borderline player they want another look at , should be asked to come back for the second tryout , I would imagine .

Did anyone else notice the change in the coaching line up for the 5th 2023? Originally Travis and another coach were coaching Select and Matt Lauria & Bobby Rooney were coaching Black. Why was ML moved? I registered my kid with the knowledge that ML would be the head coach of Black NOT Rooney. The Black team now has Rooney, & Pat Brennan. There is very little lax info in Rooney's bio, including the year he was in college, that makes me nervous as I think of the older out of touch dad coach (not worth $2,400.00). Pat Brennan bio is not even listed, what are his credentials? The chatter about PB is that he is listed in name only and not be present with coaching the B team. Does anyone know any info?

Rooney coached the 2020's for years and is a great coach. You will get more practices and more tourneys with him IF the parents are onboard and kids are available.

Never saw ML as head coach black. He was always listed as coach of select. Brennan clearly stated that he was the coach of the black at tryouts.

Great coaches normally stay with the same teams year after year. Generally, teams with coaching changes had some sort of problem. I am intentionally speaking very generically. You can infer whatever you wish.

By the way of you comment of out of touch dad Coach Rooney doesn't kids.... He coached my son on 2020 and my son loved being on the team.... He gets them prepared for every game to give them the true chance to win. I personally was happy with him as well as glad that he is also still part of coaching staff with 2020 select...

All I can say is that you need to relax. I am an Outlaw parent and what I can tell you is PB will put the right coaches in the right places. The organization puts out a good product year after year and that's why you came. You didn't come because of a specific coach.

Just let everyone do their job and enjoy your experience being an outlaw and don't worry who is coaching and who isn't.

If you look at coaching staffs of the select teams they are headlined by top notch Varsity coaches. Especially though the recruiting ages

Matt Lauria was always coaching the 2023 Select as the defensive coach. Kevin Travis will be coaching the offense. Pat Brennan has coached the top team in the past and will help out.

Pat Brennan and Bobby Rooney will coach the Black team- just like it was originally released.

I am an out laws parent who's on the fence about returning. Speaking from experience if Pat Brennan says he is going to be coaching the B...oooops Black team you can bet that he will not be there for majority of the season. Why would Select need 3 HS coaches? Black gets only Rooney?! Just made up my mind!

The confusion lies in any name change. Coach Lauria was always coaching the top team (Black last year, Select this year).

Select has 2 HS coaches not 3 as mentioned by poster above. Second team (Black) coaches are Pat Brennan and Bobby Rooney.

All coaches listed on website as well for all ages.

Each team will be scheduled based on their skill level. Would be unfair to blanket all teams in an organization with the same name under the same division every tournament. Our goal is to have all teams playing at the highest level possible.

Money hungry organizations, self aggrandizing coaches with small skills and large agendas is what ruins teams!

Put the Kool-Aid down dude! People DO go to organizations for specific coaches as much as they avoid organizations due to specific coaches. I do worry! Don't need to waste 2,400.

You are joking right? Having the right coaches is extremely important. Having a coach that actually has practices and shows up to tournaments is of the utmost importance. Organizations are very quick to bait and switch. You sign on and agree to play for them based on one what you are told and then things are different after the first practice. That's deceptive and it happens all the time.

You are absolutely correct!! Coaching is everything. A single coach can either make or break a team, especially one that is arrogant and notorious for being a no show. But hey, if some random, anonymous, stranger says to trust in PB, well than lets all be indoctrinated!

Ask the 2018 Black now called select how the coaching was this past summer. It was nonexistent. Rarely a practice, and no set plays. A complete waste of $2400. Team had talent yet didn't do well because of the poor coaching. Kids didnt go to practice because practices stunk. They also lost so much interest that they didn't show to tournaments. This coaching staff was handpicked by PB. lol

You had same problem with the team called 2018 silver now will be called black. 10-13 kids showing up to practice, 15-17 to tournaments. Coaches didn't care!!!! 15 min before game starts kids still sitting around not warming up!!

Why is this still left unanswered?

This was answered on previous pages. All coaching staffs have been posted and can be found on www.lioutlawslax.com as well.

2023 Select- Kevin Travis and Matt Lauria
2023 Black- Pat Brennan and Bobby Rooney

At this age the team normally carries 22. Every team is slightly different.

Its all about coaching. I couldn't agree more. There are coaches and there are coaches. Some coaches, are so overcommitted, they can't be there, or they just go through the motions because they dont wish to be there. Then some coaches go the exra mile, we all know who they are. I don't care if the coach was all american at syracuse or duke, if he has no energy or desire to be there , I dont want him. I don't want the 20 or whatever number the contract says of practices. I want more. The point is I want a coach who wants more. When you have a coach like that, they are not easy to find, but when you do, kids never miss practice or tournaments. Kids want to be there. The energy and effort by a coach like that is what makes a team, a successful team. In my opinion. My son, who is 12 expierienced both types of people. There is no comparison.

There has been a bit of a exodus by a few players they considered their best at key positions. Don't believe what they will reply with that these players were not good. They were constantly mentioned as the best players on the team. They also went on to very good teams. There were going to be more players leaving to go play with their high school team over the summer but their high school coaches are now directors and they are forced to come back. So because of this they think they were retaining players but they really wanted to leave.

Anyone who thinks their kid has a chance at making their select teams or "A" teams should think again. Those spots are locked up by previous players, kids who were hand picked prior to try outs or kids who play for the high school coaches who are now board members. Yes there may be a couple of exceptions, but the directors know who most of the kids are that they want before try outs start.

If you want to make the A team you better be heads and shoulders above their current players. Usually 3 to 5 new kids get offers for the A team, most decline. The best way to make the A team is to be the best player on the B team for a year

If calls went out and all the teams are set why are they advertising more tryouts this weekend?

Can you please just worry about your son's team? Which team is that anyway? (he won't say) For the record, lost one top player and one was never there anyway. Both made choices they felt worked best for them. Kept all of their other top guys and will add much needed depth. Many new players may be some of the best on the new team. Overall, team will be much stronger top to bottom. If you're that interested, your son can still try out in second round this weekend. They are giving everyone a chance to compete for a spot. Or call MB and set up a scrimmage in the late fall with your son's team. It's about recruiting now, many players on this new team have multiple D1 schools interested in them. The club is doing an outstanding job supporting that process. Many kids will make commitments this year on this team. The OL 2017 team, 15+ commits and more pending. 2016 team, 26 commits. Good luck to your son. Please, move on already and stop with bashing of these kids.

No one ever said anything about the kids. It's the organization that has come under fire. The lack of a good coach, lack of practices, it was the lack of of anything that was amazing. It was the complete lack of what was promised that is coming under fire. The director said that the team had 2 to 3 possible players that can play D1 ball. Team had a lot more than that. It was very talented. The team was coached and managed poorly losing games they should never have lost to teams with inferior talent. They never were given a chance to show how talented they really were. It became a [lacrosse] show. If there was a practice 12 players showed, at tournaments 14 kids showed. Kids got disgusted with it, as did parents driving 4 to 5 hours in traffic to have barely enough kids to field a team. It all starts at the top. Remember this was a team of over 30. Many intended to leave but due to their high school coaches being made directors they are forced to stay. These are facts. As an A team they were coached and treated like a C team.

It seems the same person keeps writing the same things. Just to clarify there was an expanded roster of 34 kids last year and 30 signed up for tryouts, not 1 was forced to by any high school coach. Out of the 4 that did not I had personal conversations with 3 of them.

We cut the expanded roster so we can have 1 cohesive team. One thing you wrote is true, since we had an expanded roster parents thought it was OK to not show up to tpurnaments, what they did not realize was there was only 20-22 registered for each tournament. With around 100 at tryouts over 3 weeks, we are going to put together teams for the 2018 level that are much improved over last season, with kids that are committed to playing lacrosse at the highest level, getting high level training and getting recruited.

There are spots open on all teams for this weekends tryouts.

Things were settled weeks ago. If your waiting your getting strung along. No team waits until the third tryout to make roster. It's to fill the unexpected 1-2 spot that they thought were filled.

Many organizations try to leave a roster spot or two open in case somebody shows up out of nowhere and blows them away

It's still 1-2 spots and to your point only if the "blow them away". So you agree with my point, but you don't want to admit it.

I did not ask the question but I can understand where the person is coming from. They did not wait to ask for money after the first tryout how long ago, plus if you're new to travel lax you may want to know when they start things up.

Thanks. Yes I'm new to travel lax. I was more curious because no club offers any info regarding anything that I asked. We have commitments for three kids to other sports as well. It would be nice to get dates at least so I can start to make the necessary arrangements.
I am finding out that they're a lot of idiots who live vicariously through their kids in club lax. Hopefully, it's just limited to this board. The parents of the town team that my son plays on all get along great!

The previous poster is right. If your kid is a select player you should be fine, but if he's not, don't expect the director or "recruiting coordinator" to go out of their way to offer any guidance or help. The kids who are committed could have played anywhere and been noticed. Not because they play for the outlaws, but because they're good. If you're not on select or the top team in the age group you will most likely not get what they promise you.

Come on really? So all the other kids that committed on other LI teams, committed because of the team they're on? You can't be serious? What guidance and help are you looking for? If your son gets noticed, you'll get guidance, I now this for a fact. They can't get the looks for your son, he needs to produce them. Also, if your son wasn't good enough to make the top team at OL or somewhere else, do you really think many D1 schools will be interested in him? Be a little realistic. Your son's time will come, most likely between the summer of 11th and 12th grade. Until then, have him focus on playing hard and growing as a player. Have him play in some individual showcases. If Syracuse, Cornell and Brown come calling I a sure you the organization will represent your son well. If they don't, then you know where your son stands... Be honest with yourself and your son! Don't bash the club and it's players, it's working well for this parent and his player. Move on already.

I'm pretty realistic. He has gotten looks from d1 schools and is currently talking to several of them. The Outlaws have had nothing to do with it. It has all been through Individual showcases and prospect days. My point is, they make promises they don't keep. I never expected them to go out and sell my son to coaches, but if I needed input, feedback or a request to play at a showcase I expected to get it for my 2400, or at least a response to an email or call. My son may be lucky enough to play D1 or wait and play D2 or 3. I don't really care as long as he's happy and gets a good education. As far as The Outlaws go, don't represent yourselves to be something your not. The kids get themselves recruited. You guys just answer the phone and pass on messages like a secretary.

Have nothing to do with Organization agree with your statements. A lot of people think all you have to do is pay and nothing else. Concerning the price don't think my Kid would be playing travel now at 2,400.00 just to join a team. Minus Hotels and other travel expenses. Gald I'm out of it.
Fyi have kids playing D1,DII & DIII you seem to have the right attitude with where they wind up unlike most parents.

Ok great, do it yourself. Sounds like you don't need an organization. It's interesting how your experience with the support on recruiting can be almost 180 degrees different from what me and my son have experienced. We have, and continue to receive excellent support. Ask yourself? If your son had legit interest, why would they not help you? Of course they would. Yet we are to believe that they didn't want to help your kid. If they are as bad as you say they are, they would stop at nothing just to get ur son a commitment, so they could brag about how they did it... Right? Wake up, a long list of commits generates interest. Which gets more kids to sign up, which is what you say they're all about. See how silly you sound?

Your post is a little scattered. First of all, I never said they made a conscious effort not to help me. What they did do was to neglect my requests for the help and support they promised before they took my money. If they had been responsive, I would have used them as the contact for any possible interest my son may have gotten from showcases, tournaments or prospect days. Because We got no response to our requests, We began to use his HS coach which is why they are not involved. It's not because he doesn't have "legit interest". They have just been left out of the process. Second, Yes, we did start doing it on our own, but only after we realized the organization we chose to play for was going to be no help. Believe me, I would have welcomed any input or help from them. That's why we play for these clubs at the recruiting age. If I sound silly to you, then I guess the majority of the parents on my sons team are silly also because we all had similar experiences. It's great that you and your son are having a better experience, but believe me you're the exception not the rule. PB and MB. Just apologize to all the people you made empty promises to and start treating everyone like they're on one of your select teams. The very least they deserve is a call back or response to an email.

We had over 250 kids tryout combined for the 2021 and 2019 age brackets. We extended an option for a 3rd team invite to many, but did not get enough solid acceptances. We could have thrown kids together that were cut, collected the $ and let the team run as Outlaws Silver.

This is not how the Outlaws work. We will not put out a team that we feel is a C team. Every team needs to be able to compete and we did not think the 2019 and 2021 Silver would compete at a high enough level with acceptances we were and weren't getting. Even though we see it on here all the time, it is not all about the money- it is about a positive experience.

Every kid that was given a spot and accepted on these teams have been called and we are helping all find a new spot. Whether it be internally or externally we will take care of all the kids.

On a side note, please do not believe everything anonymous posters write on these forums. If you have a real question- call us, or email us. Anyone from competitors to parents that' we're disgruntled their kid wasn't put on a certain team can post on here and seem to try to bash and lie. We are all about being transparent so call or email and we will answer.

Within the recruiting process it is very important to be in an organization that is established, in the right tournaments and http right connections. It is important to have a director that will be the middle man between college coach and HS student and his parents. It is important to have coaches and directors who will go out of their way to vouch for their student athletes. With all that being said it is also of vital importance for the athlete to send emails, complete questionnaires, attend certain prospect days and stay pro active in the process. Getting recruited and committed is a different path for every kid and family, all have different needs and goals, but in general it should be a group effort to get all options on the table.

Scattered? I think not. You're claiming your son got all this interest and they didn't respond to you? So you didn't go down to one of the practices and speak with either of them? You know which teams they coached, you easily could have spoken up for yourself. Instead you're on here months after the season ended saying you never heard back? Come on, the story is wearing a little thin. Perhaps if you just went and spoke to them it may have worked out better for you. It sounds to me like you might be a bit delusional. In any case, you and your son are in a better place now. Good luck to your son.

Wow. You're really excited for a guy who's kid is doing well. Maybe you have more invested in this than your indicating. You also have trouble following along. My son got interest after we wrote off the outlaws. At that point For me to put trust into people who can't answer a few emails or return phone calls would have been foolish. Also, Why should I drive from my town to track down the director when he had every opportunity to return numerous phone calls and emails. His message was loud and clear. Not once did either of the Directors show up at any of our practices or tournaments. If they had I would have gladly had the discussion. They had an opportunity to produce the product they advertised. They also had the opportunity to speak with me numerous times throughout the year and didn't. It works both ways. So yes, I'm on here now talking about my experience because people have a right to know both sides of the story. People work hard for their money. They should get what they pay for. If you can't support all of your players and teams equally then only field select AA teams. But we all know why that won't happen. Delusional or not it's the truth. Good luck to your son as well.

This is a very funny reply by the Outlaws. You duped someone and that person posts how un happy they were and your rebuttal is don't listen to the unhappy person and call us for the truth. LOL!!! That is hysterical.

Last year, team had barely any practices, team had no set plays, barely enough players at tournaments, never had same coaches at the tournaments, sometimes even only 1 coach at all the recruiting tournaments and you don't expect parents to be pissed. This is a service industry and you didn't provide the services you said you would. Now all of the sudden things are going to change. You make it seem you guys are approachable yet you are the farthest thing from it after you have cashed the checks and there are no other options but stick through a crap season.

Excited? No. Invested? No. Just a parent. Move on already.

250 kids for grades? I was at tryouts, I guess there were 180 kids for the 2019 team.
The directors are invisible at tournaments. Your lucky if you get a hello response from PB if you are so lucky to see him before he scurries off before you can engage in a convo,
