Why do you care so much? It’s a lacrosse game. All teams take some bad losses. It’s ok…life goes on!

Good teams don’t lose 15-0 ever.
I’m trying to find the right fit for my daughter. I know she is not a YJ A player, she will struggle to get more than 10 minutes on the YJ b and c team. I have realized many good players have come out of LI at other clubs to make an impact on the college level.

Seems like 91 has a good positive coaching environment for the 2026s. Any feedback for the 91 A team and their coaches?

If your daughter is just playing for fun, and is not expecting to play in college, 91 is fine. By 9th grade, the better girls are all playing on their HS Varsity teams. If she’s happy and getting decent playing time, stay, and be realistic about her future. If not, time to work harder at training and try to get onto a more competitive team. 91 is and alway has been a boys program. The girls teams have never attracted talented players. Good luck!

If your kid wants to play in college and is any good, don’t do it. They seem positive, but also won’t get many looks. A few of their 25s left mid season because of a lot of false promises. Don’t fall into the trap. Everyone knows you don’t go to 91 unless you’re a guy

The few talented kids they attract leave by HS or get stuck because they choose to stay with friends and then senior year of Highschool are beating themselves up for not moving before it was too late
Will there be any movement at this point on YJA/TGS/Jesters black? I know a few girls looking to tryout for better clubs but thinking they are out of luck at this point

Very few movement from jesters and top guns A team unless a coach cuts the weakest for someone better. Both those teams are so good that I’d be shocked if anyone left
Every team is willing to upgrade. Tryout!
Maybe just one team for AS next year and let someone else pick the teams. That was bad.
Agree just one team....why was it bad? the black team had some success it looks like?
Black team lost to the only good teams they played. Philly loss was a bad one. The Maryland team had girls from 8 different clubs, best of the best, not 17 from one club team. Success is winning not losing in the semis. They did not take the best team. The red and grey teams were a pure money grab.

do you mean they didn't really take the best players? MD has 3 very strong clubs to choose from. LI doesn't have the same depth i believe...at least at the 26 age group... its basically yj/jesters then it drops off
The Maryland team took 8 M&D players and 2 or three from 7 other clubs making the best team with the best players. Long Island took 17 kids from one team, granted the best Long Island team currently. However the 9th thru17th YJ players are not better than a few more of the jester players best TG players and a top player or two from a Tradition or Legacy. Thats the point, results speak for themselves.
ah some did go to UA though so it is tough to say MD def had the better teams
Only one 2026 toUA They picked the wrong girls. Arrogant thought their YJ team could win. Nope.
not true
What is there to know about the Jesters coaches?
Head coach is young woman who played somewhere with a long resume and is the head coach for St Dominic’s and a helper dad with Pal background that Must have read a lacrosse book or watched a few utube videos.
Sounds like another hater whose daughter couldn’t make the team. I’d put that coaching against any other staff.

There were 2 2026s and they didn’t get a ton of time and weren’t very impactful. Good learning experience for them. YJ kids were def the best of the bunch. Every loves to detest them but they all the work.
For which tournament? AS? AS Black was a good team mostly YJ
My daughter played on select black, it was mostly YJ Manning, a few Jesters, one Legacy and one from TG. They played well, lost to MD by two…. Great game, could have gone either way at that level on any day. The consensus down there was they should have went with two teams only, the talent was spread between the red and grey, Had it stuck to two teams some of the dead weight would have been shaken out and both teams would have had great success. Either way it was a great experience-

dead weight? seriously?

This statement is both ridiculous and hilarious. Well done.
Yes dead weight…to compete with MD who has an army three teams is a lot from LI
Sorry. Two teams is a lot. Should be 1 team. That’s it.
Only if you are going to have a legit tryout and take the best kids regardless of club they play for. XtR5b

i thought black was the best team...you are saying red and gray were?

Agreed. Should be one team and no more than 6 per club on the team.
Under armour. 1 team. Free.
did all legacy teams fold or just 2025?
Nooo have a friend who went to Legacy Blue, they are a tough team but will always play the bridesmaid to Jesters and Manning.. but I did watch them beat Eagle Stix @ Mid Atlantic- nice job
We're there 2027s pulled up for NYSRC? I heard they invited top players in that age to the 26 tryouts, curious if any girls made it.
Best in Class? thoughts anyone? Expensive ....is it worth it?

By top kids you mean friends of the flg owners
NYS regional games was a joke. FLG was texting kids they needed to sign up so they could be evaluated for future teams that they are now in charge of picking. They barely covered the girls and had zero boys coverage. First “wave” of LILJ invites for future games was all kids that didn’t participate.Major integrity issues

I couldn’t agree with this more. LILJ has become the new scammers of lacrosse. Their travels teams aren’t doing well so they are creating new leagues and “all star games” just so so people will pay for it. People seem to pay for this stuff just so they can post the screenshot that their kid has been selected. Don’t believe the hype.

What does FLG have to do with NYS regional games? Not sure this is the same as their “all Long Island” games run by LILJ which are a bit of a joke as we all know
FLG runs NYSR

LILJ is owned by the same people who own FLG

FLG owns LILJ and y’all are buying into the fomo, I heard FLG lost more boys and girls teams this summer.
Esposito (and jesters for that matter) are an absolute joke. Money hungry and greedy.

One of the best coaches and women involved with lacrosse. Sounds like you’re the issue.
That’s an angry and uncalled for comment. I guess your daughter didn’t make Esposito’s Jester’s team.

Wow! Where did that come from?

That’s why her and her directors are making 4 teams, raised their price, had almost no one evaluating tryouts, and half their coaching staff is parents
Some ages had 100+ kids at tryouts, if they can make 4 teams suitable for different skill levels, great for the girls lacrosse community. One club having 4 teams at one age group doesn’t say much for the product other clubs are putting out there.

You just described most, if not all club teams.

More concerned with her Instagram posts. Not a great coach. In over her head. That is our experience with her. My daughter liked her, but she does not make good decisions.
Is it espo’s team or is it really the 2 dad coach(es) team?

Her coach and personal one should be separate. Her players commented on posts of her going out are alarming.

Dad coaches always there. She missed half the summer. How much tuition goes back into her pocket to not show up?
Dad coaches Both PAL dads. Without her they are Useless. We still haven’t won anything yet.
Esposito is great coach. You look at any other leagues and they all have PAL parents or ANY other parent coaching sideline, YJ included. I know the girls love her. The fact that some grown men come on here and complain about her Instagram is alarming. She has a life outside lacrosse, maybe you should too ?

Just looked up the Insta. Ready to have my daughter go play for the Jesters now.
The commenters on here need to get a life. Attacking someone personally is joke. It's pretty simple, if you think someone or a club is greedy, don't play there. As for the coaching I think the #5 ranking speaks for itself (if you put stock in rankings) and is something the team should be proud of. They have a roster of 19-20 girls so you can't claim the club is greedy. Look at other clubs and you will see 24-27 girls...On the topic of PAL dad coaches it's a joke. All clubs have parent coaches and/or women that played in college and may now be a parent coach. Last time I checked, there is no such thing as a professional coach. Wasn't Joe Spallina a dad coach prior to coaching college?! Isn't he still one coaching YJ? Bottom line, I'll take a dedicated coach with knowledge (college girl, dad, mom, whoever) any day of the week. 99% of the posters are disgruntled parents who can't handle the fact that their kid isn't very good. Stop living through your kid.

Yes. Lots of positivity and positive affirmations in her stories, personal growth, training, happy moments. Typical salty lacrosse parent looking for something to complain about.

Weird post. Complaining saying attacking someone personally is a joke. Then the poster goes and attacks people saying to get lives. No one on this forum has a life. That's why they're posting about their daughter's on a lax forum. Living through their kids. Including you. You took the time to write that post.
You don't use someone's name.

that is very funny lol
Does FLG have a 26 team now? I saw them play YJ gryz Monday night before my daughter’s game and they looked good. Beat YJ by a few goals.
That's the 27 team I think, ranked 8th in the country . Also FLG puts them in good tournaments unlike the other FLG teams. They are very talented for their age which is kind of uncharacteristic of FLG.

FLG 27 team beat a YJ 26 team?
Yes they are a talented bunch. Small in size and numbers but fast, athletic and extremely well coached
Yes the 2026 YJ Gryz team is god awful….simply a money grab for girls who enjoy the sport. The 2027 FLG team is pretty legit!

Win by 2 become legit lose by 2 and your god awful, 2027 FLG is as legit as FLG 2025&2026
ranked eighth in the country, definitely a bad team, for sure.
I wouldn’t read too seriously into Fall league scores
I only have friends with juniors who play for jesters so turning to the internet for information. I was told jesters is daddy ball and bigger than ever on the 2024 AA team. A friend told us that the coaches kid plays an entire game while he sits on the sideline and calls plays for her to score without ever lifting a finger to teach another kid something. Was told they've had two practices all fall for an hour each where they do the same drill over and over and over.

We had considered bringing our daughter over but now am realizing it may be the same as everywhere else where A teams get coached by mommy and daddy and their kid and kids best friends reap the benefits. I know the jesters program has coaches who aren't parents but I'm confused why aren't they putting them with the high school aged kids and phasing the parents out once they hit 9th grade? What happened to the elite coaches these programs are supposed to bring in?

Is the situation with the juniors the same situation with their 26 group? Whats the deal with the 26 coaches? There is a parent coach of each 26 team correct?

Was looking to make a switch but now unsure if it's worth it to even reach out to see if the jesters 26 teams have open spots
Where are all these elite coaches you speak of that could be brought in?? The bottom line is that there are good coaches, some are parents, some aren't parents. What you should be focusing on is the quality of coaching. I've seen plenty of high profile "names" come along that 1: couldn't coach at all and 2: had very little commitment. The 26' coaches are solid to say the least. Go watch a practice or two at any program you are interested in.

This has to be one of those FLG 27 parents looking for attention

There is a dad coach on the 24 team that parents have complained about for years. Nothing will be done it’s their last year. that one person doesn’t effect them 26s as they are irrelevant and don’t coach a 26 team
Jesters 2026 A team daddy PAL coaches also. 2 of them with daughters on team. The B team no parent coaches.
