@BackOfTheCAGE
It's the start of the Fall 2017/Summer 2018 season. Use this thread for your posts regarding this age group
All the Empire 2024 from MS told they are leaving to join yj. Coach has to go to. Then promised they would all be on the A team. Even those players who aren't A players. Sad

Just curious how many girls are we talking about?
Believe it's 9. People will be pissed if their daughter gets bumped off the A team so these MS girls who don't belong can play together. Total bs. Shady people do shady things

Are you really shocked? That's the Bert way.

Empire coach is Bert's jv coach. Of course he has to go. And the puppets will follow.

Pissed so what. Those people will get bumped down and complain that they are now are the B team. YJ at their finest.

Believe it's 9? MS kids told who? Stop trying to stir the pot.
It's months before tryouts. You will know how things will shake out by watching Fall tournament rosters. Those will give you an idea of where the MS girls will land. Until then don't get all worked up over BOTC rumors.
I heard this too. They all had a meeting led by one of the youth directors. They will play empire one more year and then go to yj and play on the A team together.
Well if they're going to leave Empire to play YJ next year go ahead and just do it now. No reason to screw up possible roster for empire for the future. We played that empire team in a tourney this summer and they were strong. I know the MT SINAI girls and they werent the strongest players (1-2 of them were decent - the rest not so much) so it shocks me they'd be YJ A team... but politics play for sure. I'm sure any YJ A players bumped to B wont be happy but it is what it is.
No YJ A players will be bumped, CR loves that team. They won 3 tournaments, 2 down in MD and one on LI, beating her competition on LI easily. Girls are dominant and play as a team on both offense and defense. Last tourney of the summer, they played up in the 23 division and went 2-2, losing to much bigger MD teams by one goal in each game. CR won't mess up a good thing, even she knows better than that. Any new kid coming over, yes even MS friends and family, will most likely help fill out the B team, which needs some help.
I've heard CR loves that team and all her teams. She sounds like a great person to play for. Is she going to be half owner with Bertolone? or is it his fully now?
Has the YJ 2024 A team been told yet who the new coach is? I've heard 3-4 different people named as replacement for Williams.

Lol. You must be new to YJ.

Seems like your are of the loop as word is about eight new girls other than the Mt Sinai girls are with a few following the coach.

You are quite delusional if you think that no one is getting bumped. It will happen. Happens to every blue team, every year. It is the business model. Kids will move up. Kids will move down. Kids will come from different programs. And yes, my daughter does play for YJ.

In English please, holy Moses....
Does anyone really think the whole Empire 2024 team is trying out for YJ or told they would be on the A team. That is ridiculous to say the least. You are talking about 11 and 12 year old girls...get a grip. Girls leave programs and tryout for other teams all the time often because by 6 th or 7 th grade they are ready to pursue a more competitive club. Are you that surprised a FEW MS girls MAY be trying out, their program speaks for itself and it starts at the youth level. Stop talking trash

Absolutely going to happen. They all held a meeting to make the plan. Sad that these parents let shady people make decisions about their children. Anyone who thinks this isn't happening needs to take the blinders off.

Actually not the whole team. Just the MS girls. All going to yj A. With the coach. Not all those players belong on A. Sad

11 and 12 year old girls going into 6th grade? Are you a Maryland parent.
YJ A is too good of a team to mess around with. Lots of chemistry with those girls.
You mean the same YJ team that went 1-3 at lax for the cure?

Lame comment
well we shall see this wknd after empire has tryouts. apparently they had a good turnout last week. heard a YJ girl or two were there. not sure how true that is. but i could see it. they had a nice season at Empire2024.

They're not that good....lost to B teams and FYI: everyone is replaceable

CR watched TG23 crush YJ A yesterday. That game wasn't close. She didn't look happy. Changes are coming.
TG 23 should beat YJ 24 get a grip!! CR could care less about that game
Don't worry Daddy coach from MT S will six everything!!!

So....your saying 2025 beat them every time? I wouldn't really say that a half time scrimmage is worth mentioning . Not surprising that two teams a year separated would have close scores unless your a dumb but wipe
Anyone know the credentials of the B team coach? Where did she play lacrosse in college?
hmmm..maybe type search her name on the thing called Internet?...just a thought

ll

What’s the excuse now? Fall ball?
We played them at SB Fall tournament this past week they beat us but our team will be improved this year. They have a very skilled team tho it's only the Fall so we will see
What everyone is missing is that winning at this age doesn't really matter. It is still the strongest, faster girls right now going to goal. As they get older, others will catch up and the game will evolve and include all players. On each respective team are girl's individual skills improving and is the team working on the transition to team lacrosse. That is what it should be about right now.

Are you saying girls a year younger are more athletic? That doesn’t sound right. It sounds like you said your team can’t move the ball and they could.
I don't have a team in this fight. Wins and loses right now don't mean a thing. Some girls and teams will develop to be better and all teams will drop girls and pick up better players to improve. All I'm saying is at this age there is still a lot of the stronger girls going to goal. As they mature the game will change.
YJ Rosters aren't even posted yet.
All of the teams are mixed A/B/ even C for some
Anyone can play if they register for fall tournaments. The purpose of fall is to see all kids and what they can do..yes compete but play ALL kids and even put them in different positions. See what teams/players have
This age is about developing players first esp in fall.

They must be new at this.
Some new names on the YJ roster.
There are 3 rosters. That mixed team looks interesting

3rd team money grab
ESM Legacy girl is a midfield big addition.
[quote=Anonymous]ESM Legacy girl is a midfield big addition.

Now maybe you beat the 2025 team.
Does anyone know if any clubs are still looking for girls? Any suggestions?
Liberty Lacrosse is in this age group.
They all are looking, depending on ability and position most teams will have an opening.
Try Top Guns...
Liberty Lacrosse is is looking to field a second team at almost every age group. The director of this program cannot fill 2 teams per grade. The program has definitely fallen and seems to be going south. I would avoid them and go to another program. I suggest Top Guns.

No team in this age group really stands out. That’s not a bad thing either. Find a coach you like and go with it.

Ask around. who is getting quality instruction year round at this age. Let us know
Blue Devils are always looking for girls
Terrible coaching.

The YJ 24 Blue is headed to trouble mom coach team is a bunch of individuals second straight game we have lost to the younger YJ team. Some talented players but coaches kid is weak and a few other favors

Hopefully with all the new talent we will be stronger. Once the new coach figures out where to play kids.

The best 2024 player is playing on the 2023 blue team. I guess CR feels the 24 team losing to the 25 team is ok. No help is on the way.

24 Blue has been wrecked. They brought in new girls and their mommy coach came with them, they brought up B team girls and sent a handful of A to B. They went from a team that barely lost last summer to a team that can barely win now. All done by a handful of dads that think they know better. Yikes.
The 24 team will be fine. The best on the Island in this age group.

Let's please remember not only dont use kids names but we all know who you are talking about when you say the coaches kid is weak..... dont blame the kid that the mother starts her at lefty attack and never takes her out. Not the kids fault, and get used to it.

ALL clubs have drama. YJ is the top club, they are an easy lightning rod of criticism. No one cares about the drama from the smaller clubs that is why it seems like YJ has a monopoly on the drama. I think we all enjoy BAC as our guilty pleasure but you have to take everything on here with a grain of salt. There are people that like to come on here and stir the pot, spread falsehoods and rumors they overheard walking down the sideline or was told to them by "someone" that knows someone that has a daughter on YJ. Readers should be aware that a lot of the stuff posted on here is at best is hearsay and at worst made up lies. Some of the stuff on here does have some truth to it but the presentation is often over the top, obnoxious and most of all self serving.
What's with that YJs 24/25 combined team with only fifteen kids on the roster? One of the 25s plays with my daughter occasionally and is very talented, but even with that I can't imagine they are going to be very competitive playing at a 2024 level. At least they will all get plenty of playing time.

It's only January. CR will fill out that roster before the travel schedule starts up. She doesn't make any money until she hits a break even number per team.
How is the Top Gun Black team going to be this summer?
Any update on NGLL participation

Wow, caught a bit of one their games this weekend. The roster is indeed bigger, but there are at least two girls who can't cradle, never mind catch a ball. The coaches looked lost, but honestly who could blame them. IF there is any talent on that team, I can't imagine they will be there for long.

Blatant money grab to add a team at the 24/25 level, but the parents seem to be on board with all the fear the bee garb that was spotted on the sideline.
Why would YJ and Hero's green be in the same bracket and not play each other? Instead play teams that we shut out. Silly
So YJ can get another T-Shirt
Looking for a club for my daughter for next year. Would like a club near Lindenhurst. Good development - competent coaches, etc.

At the 2024 Level - Where do the YJs practice? Where does Top Gun practice? And with either of those clubs, are tourney mostly out of state?? Thank you in advance
Speaking for YJ B, they practice at Comsewogue HS the majority of the time. Early in the season it was at Hauppauge HS. Most tourneys are the typical MD, NJ, DE sites. There is one in Lake George this season and one upcoming at the Sachem complex in a couple of weeks. 5 or 6 tourneys, depending on if they are sent to Nationals (in DE this year). Hope this helps, good luck in your choice.

Ummmm, most of us live out here. Not Nassau, no way I'd drive into Manhasset to play for Liberty. Original poster didn't mention anything about where they live.

My daughter is a very good 24 player and we are looking for a new team. We have no experience with any of the big clubs and are looking for feedback. Best club at this age? YJ, TG or Legacy. Thoughts and experiences .. please share. THANKS
