Is there or is there not a recruiting fee? I've heard from former YJs (Blue) maybe 5 years ago that there was, but on here everyone swears there isn't. So is there or isn't there?

Go to YJ website, lower left side is a recruiting tab. Sends you to another website.

Thanks, Bear. What they offer doesn't seem to be much more than you can find in a book or online. But I guess if you don't know what you're doing and want to pay for some handholding then they're there for the hiring.

Some clubs offer that with memberships, no extra fee required.

I have "counseled" (I don't charge) many students over the past 10-15 years. It is pretty basic stuff. I try to match a student's academic merits, athletic merits and deposition (wants to go away; if so how far, stay home, large school, small school, wants to a doctor, etc) with the best school. Too many students get a bad school match and before long hate the sport and school; many don't make it four years. My track record is good (patting myself on the back) but the "miserable" rate is quite high.
