WS is another money maker for the people that run it. Marketing at it's best. All the tournaments are money makers. There is a reason for so many of them being available. If it didn't make money they wouldn't exist. That's the reality. Lacrosse clubs are not winning prize money from winning tournaments. They get a medal, hat, shirt, and even a maybe a trophy. Tell me of a tournament organizer that does it for the game first then profit second. Many tournaments are cancelled because not enough teams ($$$$$) are registered. This is a business and it has to be seen like that all the way down to the vendors paying to rent space, back door deals to keep the cost down and increase the margins. |
