It’s a business of youth lacrosse, these clubs need to be held accountable. Several clubs out there on a power trip charging high fees and offering very little.

If you have older kids you know also that these programs offer the opportunity to play in games against very good opponents and that’s basically it. There is little to no development of players. Dads could start a Long Island league and bring these kids down to play each-other regularly with a Dad coach practice once a week and many would find little to no development drop. These kids should practice more and travel less and you should be getting real development of players in practice but it’s not happening on a grand scale here.Travel ball takes kids on trips to places like Maryland and Delaware to play before they can even pass, catch or shoot with their non dominant hand. Makes no sense.
