I think all D3 schools have “slots” but we have been specifically told that lax doesn’t really help you; you have to get into the school on your own merits for the most part.
Not true. Slotted D3 players don’t need the same GPA and test scores as a typical student. I’m living proof of that! Went to a top 20 D3 school as a “recruited” player with considerably lower numbers than average applicant.
