The hierarchy of the IAAM must have been under the influence when they decided the formula for the playoffs. It is absolutely absurd that an 11-2 team is seeded over an 11-1 team. I don't care about head to head. I defy anyone to find a situation where winning percentage hasn't been the determining factor in a predetermined playoff seeding situation.
The problem is that the number of games played could not be predetermined because cancellations were inevitable. If winning percentage were the top criteria, would a 6-0 team be the number one seed? I concede that example is extreme, but what about a 9-0 team that hadn't played NDP, McDonogh or SPSG? Should that team be the top seed? The IAAM should have published criteria specific to this season.
