Highlights
Garden City explded for eight goals in the third quarter to overcome a 3-3 halftime tie to take the Class B title, 13-8 Cody George scored five goals and James Sullivan won 18 of 25 faceoffs as Garden City (19-3) won its second straight Class B state championship. Jamesville-DeWitt finished 20-2.
Bronxville from Section I led the Class C title game, 8-5 at the half and everything looked to be in control. Cazenovia stormed back in the second half. Trailing 10-9 after three quarters, Cazenovia opened the fourth quarter with four unanswered goals including three in 22 seconds to take a 13-10 advantage.
In the final game of the 2013 Varsity season, Ward Melville took control with a 6-2 opening quarter and 5-0 second stanza to make it an 11-2 halftime score in their much anticipated match with West Genesee from Section III.
