Gotta Love lacrosse when Lumber Boy, Rage and MM are at same tournament. I dont have time to watch my own son play as the three stogies games are so entertaining

Looks like VLC lost Coach Schwartz after he took the job as PVI head coach.

Is VLC still a team to watch for the DMV area?

Team Ten is absolutely loaded and is the team to beat in the 2026 class assuming all starters are healthy. All starters are projected high end D1 recruits. Their offensive depth is second to none.

He does it so we can do it too mentality

If there is so much depth, it should be okay if the starters are not healthy. They hav 3 full midfield lines and 4 attack. They will be fine. along with the other Top 5 in the age group.

Should, would, could. The starters are the starters for a reason. Look at ND, they had 3 full midfield lines which is very hard to stop, but their 1st line is obviously their best line. Would they have had the same success if some of their starters were out? No. Does the beyond their first line depth help them build and sustain leads? Yes. Does the depth help them have stamina deep into the season? Yes. This is common sense.

A Fall Ball win over LI Express means nada. CoachC's team will smoke Team Ten this summer if they match up - watch...

Wins and losses mean zero at this age. Just be at the best tournaments and hopefully be on the field.

Agree. It’s no longer about the score. Play YOUR very best while on the field. Don’t worry about the score. Worry about your play and your teamwork.

It will be a good game, it is highly unlikely LI Express smokes Team Ten. Team Ten is practically the same Tigers team that beat LI Express in the NLF Summer Championship minus a couple defenders, but plus some key players at defense, attack and midfield. In other words, more additions than losses. Deeper and more talented than that Tigers team. Team Ten will be very difficult to beat all summer.

Team Ten should come down to Naptown again and get some south of the Mason Dixon hospitality. Hand you a couple of quick losses to DC Express and Crabs again this summer. Like the other commenter said wins and losses dont matter at this age, but some of us hill billies do remember scores.Oh,and dont forget that summer Hawks loss too. Bless your hearts.

Best of luck to all players on all those teams. All of those teams have great players that should do well at the next level wherever they decide to play. However, do not act as though you are not competitive by saying wins and losses don't matter at this age. That is a saying losers use to cope. Winning is still fun and of course developing your skills are important too so you do well at the college level. Both are true at the same time.

Former HS varsity head coach here. If your goal during your son’s recruiting summer is for him to get seen and recruited then don’t worry about wins and losses so much. Being on the field should be the main priority. If your son is getting plenty of playing time AND the team is winning, that is gravy because that means more games he will be seen in during the championship bracket games. But being a bench player this summer on a winning team won’t do a thing for him. And make sure he emails head and assistant college coaches that he’s been focusing on a few weeks prior to the tourney to let them know where he will playing. A good club director and HS head coach should also be reaching out to these coaches on his behalf assuming that your son’s list is appropriate for him both academically and athletically. If D3 is the focus then this summer is not nearly as important because those coaches are still mainly focused on 2025s this summer. But it get hurt to get on their radar now of course. Fall and winter will be much more important for 2026 D3 kids. Good luck!

So you are comparing your team to the D1 College National Championship team? It is High School where you can run one line of Middies all game on offense. Thye dont need a second line and most teams at most run a second line out there once or twice a game. Sorry your son isnt on first line, mine is and will play all season without losing his stamina.

Sending him to a D3 showcase this month but beyond that not sure what I should be doing, are there specific events for kids on this track that I should be looking at this fall/winter? Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to answer.

We won’t talk about wins or losses will we DC Express. Ooooffff

D3 coaches will be at every top showcase. Not every kid will go D1 due to grades, size and skill. You will see kids land at Salisbaurt Tufts and many D3 schools and start as freshmen but wouldn’t see the field in D1

That’s quite a reach, you must not be very intelligent. Regardless of the level of sport, depth playing a role in team performance is the point. Are you really too dense to grasp that?

Ok this is hilarious. We have a dad; I’m presuming, pounding his chest over a scrimmage win in a club game!! You keep focusing on those W & Ls while everyone else is getting recruited.

Sorry your sons team is constantly losing , some of us play to win and it carries over when we go D1.
